I lived at The Regent for around one and a half years, and I can confidently say my experience was a positive one. If you're an engineering student and/or Badger Football fan, there's practically no better option in the area; then you take into account the quality and consistency of support, cleanliness, room size, overall features, and proximity to campus, and The Regent becomes an even better option. I want to specifically thank both Clarance (front desk support) and Megan (property manager) for always going out of their way to make sure my requests and concerns were taken care of in a very timely fashion.

I had no problems with this apartment building except the endless music and noise coming from my neighbors. Despite two complaints to the apartment management nothing changed about it... although I don't think it's their fault, really. Just a sticky situation and I just got unlucky. If you're considering this apartment just be aware that the walls are pretty thin and while I don't overhear just talking, music blasting in the apartment next door will just carry right over into your room.
All that being said, given you don't have a noisy neighbor, this apartment building is pretty good. I have renewed my lease here and hopefully won't have that problem again. The proximity to the UW engineering campus is unparalleled and the building is nice and clean - remodeled rooms are very nice too. Lighting in hallways and rooms could use a bit of work but not a big deal with a desk lamp. Never had any problems with laundry, heating, internet, etc. However anyone reading this should know that the maintenance staff seems to have a bad habit of leaving your room unlocked after they leave. Maybe that's just protocol but upon returning from Winter and Spring break, I found a note on my door saying it had been entered for maintenance and the door was unlocked. Seems unprofessional to me.
So overall I would recommend this place for an engineering student simply because the ~5 minute walk to class is incredibly convenient. If your classes are closer to Grainger and Humanities, though, the walk is about 25 minutes, and there are probably more convenient places to live.

Great management and internet, but somewhat pricey, especially if you live in the apartments that haven't been remodeled yet.
Edit: I've tried to upload photos of more than just the hallways, but they disappear immediately after I upload them. Probably a Google maps bug. Sorry about that.
+ Utilities: Everything is included at a flat rate. The internet in particular is great - a full 100mb/s both download *and* upload speed, but sometimes slows down to 20-30mb/s when everyone is using it at once.
+ Management is very friendly and professional, and I've never had a problem with them. They also do some special events every now and then like a move-in day party, national pizza day and finals week(where they provided snacks in the lobby most of the week and a movie night)
- Rooms are small for the price, and the non-remodeled rooms don't look all that great.
- In the 2br units, you only get 1 window AC, which is in the living room, meaning you'll have to run fans and leave your door open if you want your room to be cool in the summer.
- Lighting in the rooms isn't all that great. There's a single ceiling light in the kitchen, but the living room has no lights whatsoever so it's always dark and gloomy. The bedrooms have lights above the closet, but they only do a so-so job of lighting up the rooms. Lighting is also lackluster in the hallways on the non-remodeled floors.
