It has been our home for 30 years and we are moving to a house that we are renovating across the street from this property. The house has loads of charm, including gleaming hardwood floors throughout, pocket doors, leaded glass windows, original woodwork, corinthian columns, etc.

The spacious kitchen is a cooks dream, equipped with stainless steel gas stove, microwave, range hood, dishwasher and refrigerator.

The entryway leads into a “foyer” that is a room with the dimensions of 12 X 11 feet, which connects the living room at the front of the house with a spacious formal dining room (e.g. large enough to hold a china cabinet, sideboards and a couch). There are two bedrooms, one that we use as our study. The tastefully tiled bathroom (Ann Sacks), connects the bedrooms.

There is a spacious front porch at the front of the house and a private back porch for outdoor dining. There is a backyard with perennial gardens full of spring bulbs and perennials. Raised beds for vegetable gardening.

Two off street parking spaces are included.

New high efficiency washer, gas dryer and water softener are located in the basement and are free to use.

Central Air.

Tenants pay utilities and are responsible for snow shoveling and mowing.

This is a smoke free home. We do not accept pets.

We’ve enjoyed living in this beautiful space and are looking for tenants that will continue to take good care of it.

And that's exactly what they're saying about the Schenk-Atwood Neighborhood (also referred to as the Schenk-Atwood-Starkweather-Yahara Neighborhood. Yeah, we think Schenk-Atwood is a little better, too).

While the Schenk-Atwood Neighborhood is just on the edge of being truly downtown Madison, perhaps the best way to think of it - with its combination of local great restaurants, watering holes, and sources of entertainment - is as a self-contained enclave of Madison that's also within walking or biking distance of the Capitol Square.
