This apartment needs to be Renovated or Demolished. This place has poor maintenance, cheap appliances, ant/mouse issues, loud traffic, ridiculous high rent prices and Black mold.
And you can see some of the proof below if this review isn't believable enough after reading it.
I can't say it's the same for everybody but, the unit that my family and I used to live in was and most likely still is in poor condition. It's in such poor condition that the stair handrails are wobbly that they could break off at any moment, the back screen door easily breaks off, same goes for the closet doors, window blinds and creaky floorboards.
This apartment was the only place we could find that'd accept pets. My family and I moved here about 3 years ago, and how I hated living here each year. The very first thing that happened was when I flipped on the light switch in the bathroom, one of the lightbulbs immediately sparked and fell from it's socket on the ceiling and shattered all over the floor, it could've caused a fire. Later on, it was replaced by a ventilation.
Then of course, you're surrounded by a bunch of characters, who are your neighbors. You've got your cat/dog people, weed or tobacco smokers, Partygoers, and shady/sketchy people. But, you also got at least some decent people.
Each new neighbor that moves in next to us, I swear we could smell weed coming from next door through the bathroom ventilation, and we unfortunately have to breathe it in or hold our breaths until we're finished. And the walls are so paper thin that you can hear the neighbors arguing, or talking. And when I or the neighbors try to use the showers at the same time, one would get warm while the other gets cold water, it's like our boilers are connected.
And if you have a dog and want to walk around the neighborhood or take your dog out, I can guarantee you that you're gonna run into dogs without their leashes on like they're supposed to, because their owners don't care, think they can get away with it or are too lazy to put one on when they take out their dog around the same time as you do. Trust me, my dog and I ran into more than a few dog situations, plus a pit bull, w/o their leashes on. This keeps happening until I don't want to go out for walks anymore or take my dog outside while the neighbor's dogs are out, luckily though, my dog or I weren't hurt during those encounters.
I wouldn't recommend leaving your cat outside.
We'd have Ant problems each year, we'd have an army of sugar ants in each room, they'll even be in the kitchen and bathroom. When we brought up the situation to the manager's office, they would not send anyone out unless the situation becomes worse (which it has) all they'll give us is these small liquid packets of ant poison that we're not sure if they actually work or not. We did not experience any mouse problems but I heard that the 1 bedroom apt. have mouse and ant problems.
Now, I'm not sure if everybody in the entire area has this problem, I'm sure they do but, in our unit there's black mold in each windows in which I thought was soot or dirt but it was neither. And the maintenance people do a lousy job of cleaning it up, they'd cover up the mold with paint, no bleaching, no gutting or cleaning it, they just paint it over and walk away thinking the problem is solved, but instead they've created more health problems for everybody.
The rent prices would go higher each year that you stay, it's ridiculous on how much they charge you per year, it's not even worth staying.
Whoever says that this place is worth it, trying to make it sound like it's the holy grail or the sacred promised land, they're either lying through their teeth, they're paid to praise this place, they're bots, or all of the above.
I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone, because this place isn't worth a single penny, it isn't worth risking your health and safety, unless this apartment is your only option, then I wish you and your family good luck, you're gonna need it. And don't be shy to report if needed to.
