The problem with Sec 8 is you cannot control who moves here and essentially invades your neighborhood. Been here over 15 years. Steep decline in tenant over the past 5 years as the community changes management every 1-2 years. Lots of SSI people who drink smoke drug n beat their kids. Kids disrespectful towards adults stealing inspection notices off people's doors, coping attitude, which is a government violation. Gossipy chicks live here when their kids go out to play the kids push each other down my kids dont like playing outside anymore with these mambas. When I moved in it was diverse now seems skewed to a particular type of person which we are not. The people in the leasing office starting with PK Management know all our info including where we work and have no problem stalking us at our jobs then they start sending evics to you in the hopes they will threaten u into leaving. When that dosent work they start a smear campaign or send your next door neighbors to harass u at work or come in your house unannounced without proper planning. Continental started off good but now they are acting the same. Super aggressive, office staff and maintenance have obviously been trained to bang on our doors most impolitely. Now they even bother us on Saturdays to get ready for the inspections and we are sent threatening undertone letters. Deerpath is in a great location and relatively safe so for that i give 3 stars but for the rude way we are treated i give 1 star. HUD companies are famous for treating tenants like crap. Deb was here for years prior and she also treated us like lowlifes because you know Michigan has such great housing opps for families in debt right lol. So if we choose to live in apartment communities we must be bad ppl. Oh on top of that the cops are up our ass cause this is considered the ghettos of EL. Idk but this could be a great place if people would stop trying to aggress their way to the top and treat each other with common human decency...
