I like it here. For the price, it's been worth it. No trouble, quiet, quality apartments.
Staff:
The office is sometimes hard to get on the phone, but the staff are pretty nice, and maintenance has been quick. They told me I'd need to bring my window screens up to the office to have them fixed (my cat broke them), but then the mainenance guy just showed up at our door, the next day, with the fixed screens!
We also has a rusted out sink pipe replaced, which also happened promptly. I was late on my rent one time, and even though the notice said I'd have to pay my late fee right away, the office said the late fee could wait, I just needed to pay the rent right away.
Condition:
The units are nice, I can't complain. The few things I've been able to find have been due to normal wear-and-tear, and have been fixed. Only thing that maybe needs attention is that some of the electrical outlets are 'loose' and cords tend to fall out of them. I bet they'd fix that though, if I asked them to.
Location:
The location is great, less than a mile from major stores and HWY 45, in a nice part of West Allis. I haven't noticed or heard about any robbery, drugs, vandalism, or anything like that.
Noise Level:
My building is pretty quiet - the only noise we get is some stomping around from upstairs (probably kids, and really no big deal), and the occasional police or ambulance sirens outside (but with your windows closed, even that's pretty quiet, since the windows are double-paned). The walls must be pretty insulated, because while I consider my own household to be pretty loud sometimes, no one has ever complained about it, to me, or to the manager. I've noticed some young residents in our building, but have never heard any noise from them.
Amenities: You get coin laundry, a fairly big storage locker (someone's even using their's as a workshop) there's a below-window air conditioner that works well, and the heat comes from low electric radiators lining the wall in the living room, bathroom, and bedrooms. We're never uncomfortable with the temperature. You can have 2 cats ($20 pet rent, $250 deposit)
Parking: You can get up to 2 spaces, and there's underground parking for an extra $35 a month. They usually get rid of snow pretty fast.
