PLEASE READ:
My roommate and I share a 2 bedroom apartment #202 that is infested with yellow jackets (wasps) and management couldn't care less. Keep in mind these are about double the size of normal wasps (bodies alone 1" long). Apartment #302 is also infested with yellow jackets.
Our less-than-helpful landlord Kristi repeatedly made the excuse that "the weather is warm". (1) wasps shouldn't be in any apartment regardless of the weather, and (2) we are still getting wasps at the end of November when it's less than 30 degrees outside. The nest was sprayed three times by King Pest Solutions (NOT a professional company, just a local pest control guy) and we were told each time that the wasps "should be gone now" . We'd always see wasps for a week after spraying (before they'd go away for a short period of time), and we were told to wait it out since "the spray has to set in for a few days". However, the wasps never completely disappeared from inside our apartment. They would be gone for several days after the spraying and then resurface again [from the fiery pits of hell.] We have no idea where they're coming from and neither did the pest control person. Super helpful. They are coming in somehow.... From what it sounded like, this apartment has had wasp problems before - we were obviously not notified of this when moving in which is a huge red flag on part of management. We have reported this to Kristi 4-5 times now, and each time she calls this King Pest Solutions guy to spray the nest and each time it doesn't work. Repeat cycle. Literally the 5th time we called to complain about wasps did they finally decide to treat inside our apartment. (For the record, I suggested this as an option the 2nd time I reported the yellow jackets, but I was told "they need to keep spraying the nest").
Kristi told me that spraying the wasp nest was all they can do. They completely refused to hire an actual professional pest control company which seemed a little odd to me. Even if she's telling the truth... Even if there isn't any more to be done... Having yellow jackets frequent your apartment 6-7 times per week for a month is NOT fun. They will probably be a problem in the springtime too.
Just today, 11/26/16 we had another giant wasp flying around in our apartment. Kristi (landlord) was called over the phone and she kept talking in circles without providing any solution whatsoever. When it was mentioned that we would potentially file a complaint to a building inspector, she got very flustered and suddenly HUNG UP THE PHONE ON US. Totally unprofessional and extremely suspicious behavior.
Addendum: It is 12/6/16. Still having yellow jacket problems.
DO NOT EVER RENT FROM PARKVIEW APARTMENTS OR CHT APARTMENTS. You will regret it.
UPDATE Dec 2016: I got a letter from Gary Miller Law Office who works with CHT. (This guy sucks too - avoid at all cost!) This is after I threatened management to hire a building inspector. A direct quote from the letter says they are denying me any refunds because of "your hyperbole, disparaging remarks and arrogant tone". I never spoke with Gary Miller so I have no clue what he's talking about. On top of that, the letter is filled with elementary grammatical errors. Yet again, everyone associated with CHT baffles me with their lack of professionalism and courtesy.
