Jefferson Neighborhood Summary

The Jefferson neighborhood is one of Eugene’s best — it has actually won the local “neighborhood of the year” contest. Located on the city’s west side, Jefferson is north of 18th Avenue and west of West Campus. It’s generally residential, comprising single-family homes, but holds a ton of neighborhood perks, such as Jefferson City Park, the Lane Events Center, the Piccadilly Flea Market, and several restaurants, such as the mediterranean Cafe Soriah. The rentals here are mainly full homes — perfect if you’re hoping to live with a few roommates — but there are townhouses and apartments available as well.

Methodology

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
