Description

(RLNE1211970) Hi! My name's Jeremy Jackson. I'm an agent with Zumper. Chicago inventory is always a constant revolving door. I'm sure you've probably already clicked around about 15 places, but unfortunately the internet only goes so far! Give me a call (or text me) and have a quick chat with me. That way I can answer any questions you have, get you a showing for this place, or make an extra suggestion or two if there's something about this one that doesn't work for you. Feel free to Google me and see what past people I had the privilege of working with have to say!

Anyways, here are some details about what the property has to offer and hope to hear from you!

Your Apartment:
Choose from well-designed convertible, one, two and three bedroom residences that offer the best in city living. Each apartment is appointed with granite countertops, European-inspired kitchen cabinets and plank flooring throughout. You’ll also enjoy your own in-unit washer and dryer, and year-round comfort with personalized heating and cooling at the touch of a button

Your Building:
Relax and entertain in the elegant club lounge or billiards parlor. Soak in the sun on the rooftop deck by day, or cozy up to the fire pit by night while surrounded by Chicago’s glittering skyline. Work out in the state-of-the-art fitness center or take your pup to the private dog run. Life at The Scott Residences includes all of this and so much more.

Old Town
Thriving Nightlife Paired with Eclectic Shops and Restaurants in Chicago’s Old Town

The area referred to as Old Town was home to many Native American Nations including members of the Illinois, Miami and Potawatomi. After the 1833 Treaty of Chicago most indigenous peoples were forcibly removed. The land was then settled by German Catholic immigrants. Although there is no legal entity called Old Town, the people who live there regard the northern border as North Avenue and the neighborhood continues south to Division Street. The East edge is LaSalle Street and heads west to Halsted. Old Town has many historic buildings, including St. Michael’s Church, one of only seven buildings to survive the Great Chicago Fire. In 1924 Henry Gerber established the first gay-rights group, the Society for Human Rights, and his home has since been designated as both a Chicago Landmark and a National Historic Landmark. The 1950s saw an influx of Puerto Ricans that emigrated to Chicago. In the 60s and 70s Old Town became a center for folk musicians. The Old Town School of Folk Music was located on North Avenue until its move to Armitage Street in 1968.
