So I felt like I had to say something here because I have lived here for 10 years and it always hasn't been the best as far as management companies and how often the turn over was but the reviews you are seeing are from during a time where we had 2 leasing employees here and they were probably the worst I've ever seen. A lot of people left and I was very close until LuAnn and Jordan came in. They have been here for less then a month and everyone I know has been very happy for the must needed change. Luann actually called me her first day to ask me about issues I had brought up before. I never asked for her to call me so it was a big deal to me especially knowing the mess they walked into cause by the previous leasing agents. There were so many things that the prior people lied about and didn't follow through with and from day 1 I knew Jordan and Luann actually cared about the residents and not trying to make money. Like I said, I have lived here for 10 years and I really think they got it right this time in hiring Luann and Jordan. I'm looking forward to our property getting back to normal and when I''m able to justify why I like living here. Also, today I went in to ask a question about something on my patio and there was an employee there named Amy who didn't even work at this location but she just stopped what she was doing and came to see what I was trying to explain to her. I mean, above and beyond is what they do here now. So thanks Luann and Jordan. You are the breath of fresh air we have needed for so long. Also, Joe and Brian are fantastic with maintenance. This review would have been zero stars and really bad 3 months ago so it's really awesome to be able to write a good review. This is a great community and It's worth coming to look at!

Beware of this apartment complex. There are lots of empty units and it's no surprise. They will nickel and dime you constantly: the already high rents were raised significantly year after year--this year they're charging me $200/mo more than what they're asking for identical vacant units. When I asked about a month-to-month lease (while I found another place) they wanted a $500/mo premium! The renovated apartments have a thin veneer of quality, but the fixtures are cheap and break easily. I take excellent care of the apartment, but the shoddy hinges and handles quickly broke and they have threatened to charge me for the repair. In the relatively short time that I've been here, the owners have changed management companies 3 times, while occupancy rates continue to fall. When I finally had enough, I found someone to take over my lease, but management is not allowing a lease transfer (which they are legally obligated to do), which means I'll be wasting time fighting this in court. I give it 2 stars only because the location is good if you work in Gunbarrel, Niwot, or Longmont, and, while threatening, the maintenance is at least prompt. I know the rental market in Boulder is tight, but do yourself a favor and avoid this complex if you plan on staying long-term.

Had a terrible experience trying to lease an apartment here. I put a deposit down on an apartment only to call the next day and find out that the price the apartment had been listed for was a mistake. The leasing agent, Donyell, told me that she would need to check with her manager to find out if they were going to honor the listed price. I spent the next week and a half just trying to get a concrete answer about the price, but the leasing agent just kept ignoring my questions and failing to respond for days at a time. I even told her that I'd understand if they couldn't honor the listed price because it was a mistake...didn't matter. She made up some ridiculous excuses about extra fees which directly contradicted the policies listed on their website (and conveniently added up to the price for the other units with the same floorplan), and then continued to try to lease me the apartment! At this point I was fed up, and asked for my money back. From there, it took them another two weeks to (supposedly) ship my refund check. I say supposedly because I still haven't received it - they shipped it to the wrong address... If this is how The Boulders treats prospective tenants, I'd hate to see how they treat actual residents. I've never experienced so much deception and bad communication from a business before.
