They said they will share with picture for sure. then they charge damage without picture because of carpet bad smell. I don't have pet and never take shoes inside. Ridiculous. Worst place in my life. Never live there!!!

I think they used some cheap contractors. Or they only renovated what would appear in pictures. You pay for the location. That is about it.

This review is a review of the management and leasing practices more than the apartments themselves. I found this place online and the apartments seemed nice and affordable. When we got there however we were told by the leasing agent that that price was not correct and it would actually be almost 300 more than whats advertised. The leasing agent claimed it was just an error, but because the price was posted in multiple places(Zillow as well) that seems unlikely. I hate bate and switch tactics, they reflect poorly upon management and are a poor business practice.

Management staff (Amanda and Monica) are unprofessional and rude to residents. Monica is the "manager," but after I moved out of the apartment she was unable to confirm in their records that I paid a $200 security deposit. She told me the only way I would get a security deposit returned would was if I could prove (thru my bank account statements) that I gave and they deposited a check for the deposit! The burden of proof was on me! This is just a glimpse into the ineptitude of Alliance management. Apartments are in the process of upgrading all their units and Somerset has forced residents to either relocate to an upgraded unit (and pay the $300 per month premium) or move out. Many residents have lived here for 5+ years and mgmt is refusing any flexibility. Comparable apartments in the area have been upgraded and are cheaper than Somerset. Don't be fooled! Beware of Somerset. Construction noises are very loud. Work is even occurring on Saturday mornings. Management basically laughs off resident complaints about noise and construction debris in the parking lot. The pool was shut-down for repairs for a majority of the summer with no indication or early warning from management. I cannot stress enough, not to live in these units. After all the back and forth with the security deposit they slapped me with a "sheetrock" repair fee. The 3M strips I used to hang a frame, had pulled off a layer of paint. However, my apartment is not being rented out until all renovations take place, including new paint on all the walls. Amanda informed me that they needed to repair the sheet rock versus just touch-up paint because the new style of paint they were using wouldn't work in that area. Just another example of how Alliance is the worst thing about Somerset. Avoid Somerset unless you enjoy paying at least $2000 a month to be jerked around by Alliance management.

We never had any trouble with this complex. Maintenance was usually very prompt. The staff were willing to bend some of the complex's rules when we had an emergency, but despite such flexibility-when-necessary the place is kept clean and orderly. The gates to the complex seem to break often. Also there was one instance when I came home to find a half dozen police cars and many cops; I don't know what happened. There were lots of spiders when we moved in, but pest control took care of it. The kitchen fixtures need to be replaced. The pool is beautiful. The fitness room is small but adequate for most people. Extremely fast access to the southbound Mopac!

I visited Somerset last month and decided to check back this month because I was really worried about them going through a condo conversion. I just found out that they have decided to hold off because of the Austin market. I think my husband and I are going to put a deposit down on the two bedroom with a garage. I love the location and the school district is great in this area.
