I don't get why people say such poor things about Town Hollow. I had a great experience living there. Great neighbors that have turned into great friends, great location and great management. I would continue to live there if it was closer to my job. There was a point early on living there that was hard, but they changed their management team around and added Danyelle who made our lives SO much better. Ignore the other post and trust me, this place is not nearly that bad.

I love living at Town Hollow. It has character, unlike all of these newer and overpriced high-rises that have been built all around us. BUT, with that comes a spacious pool, large stone grill, beautiful overgrown trees, and space to walk your dogs. Honestly, at first I was a little disappointed by the mgmt and overall maintenance, but now I couldn't be happier. Danyelle Denn came in and has taken great care of me and my neighbors, and in my mind, doing a job meant for three people all on her own! I am so thankful for her! Also, Ivan is the best maintenance professional I've had at any apartment complex. He's so kind and goes out of his way every day with a smile on his face to make sure everything is working properly, and he has great pride in what he does. Last but not least, my neighbors, truly the funnest group of people in the world. Our friends and families that visit call Town Hollow "Melrose Place"

Location is all this place has going for it. I will say that it is awesome to be so close to everything and at an affordable costs. However, the management team was horrible during the 8 months I lived here, noise was a daily issue, the grounds were always dirty, and the laundry was a nightmare. You definitely get what you pay for at this place. If you tend to order anything on Amazon or that is delivered that requires it be left in the office good luck getting it. The office almost always had a sign up that said will return at a time that had already passed for the day. The day I was supposed to move in I showed up to find out that the staff left that day around 2pm. It was exceptionally hard to even get them to answer the phone when calling the office to find out when they would be there for me to pick up a package. And when I first called about the noise issues with a neighbor behind me they did not care in the least. Finally, after calling the police at 3 am in the morning for a neighbor blasting music, I was told to get them the compliant number and they would address it. There is so much more to detail how bad the experience was in living there but just know it is not worth it unless you are in a bind and need a cheap place. Thankfully they have a sublease policy and I found a replacement after 8 months of living there.

As I've read previously, the laundry room is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. The machines are covered in everyone's hair and lint, there is trash all over the floor, the garbage is stuffed full and one of the washers isn't even working. It's as if no one has gone to check on the state of it for months. Which honestly, would't even surprise me. On top of it, our AC is not working once again and the humidity outside is awful. In July, one of the hottest months, the complex allowed us to live without AC for an entire week (7-8 days)! We were promised hotel accommodations if it wasn't fixed...that was a lie. So frustrated with this place...it's too bad because it really is an amazing location.

After weeks of looking at rundown apartments in various (non-walkable) parts of Austin, The Townhollow Apartments were a breath of fresh air. Not only is it at an amazing location across from the Alamo Drafthouse (with more and more cafes/bar popping up daily), but the management staff was the nicest I've met so far. Danyelle was super helpful and fun, and the whole complex looked modern and clean. I can't wait to live here!

This has been the worst place I have ever lived. The ironic thing is I'm pretty low-maintenance! 1. They are terrible and never return phone calls 2. The laundry room & property is always filthy 3. I called last January for NO HOT WATER. They did not fix it for 5 days. They said they thought they did but it didn't happen and didn't return 5 of my phone calls. When I finally had to take off of work and go to the office in person I was irate. 4. I called last weekend about broken heat (December 2015) and phone call was never returned.

It's the definition of neglect, the best person on this location is the maintenance guy Armando and that's the person you'll probably see the most. (He needs a raise.) The office often plays ignorant towards residents and ditzy to exempt themselves from the responsibility of their jobs. There's a new manager I heard, so I shouldn't say much but this is a review on my past experiences. Brooke was the leasing manager when we got the apartment. Upon touring the place there was modifications that needed to be met because there was broken tile, ripped carpet, etc. When we moved in nothing had been fixed or even renovated whatsoever. (Get everything they say in writing with a signature, I'm not playing.) They actually took out the tool to filter the water. Whatever, make best with what you got, we just lived with the apartment like that. Take pictures, send it to them and document everything. They're stingy with money. Then, I experienced how the office runs things. Brooke didn't know how to simply work a PDF file, which was vital for her to know how to do, since she was intended to send out a mass email that informed the whole complex that we were to not have electricity for a large portion of our day, THE FOLLOWING DAY. So we were slapped in the face when us lot couldn't get ready for work or be lazy in life. The construction is obnoxious, the office doesn't try to compensate whatsoever about it, and the workers started when everyone was in bed. They said it was only for a few months to get you in, when people won't move into apartments with this much construction going on, and they were still there when I moved out. They don't care, they don't care. I'm so dumbfounded at the patience I've acquired here. We had a series of break in's in our cars from multiple residents and the office thought it was just appropriate to send out a disclaimer email, in short term they said "sorry we're not responsible but lock your cars ok?" I don't live here anymore, don't waste your time. There are nicer places on Lamar if that's your thing, or even something more up north. Waste of time and money.

Constant construction, so if you work nights or late hours and want to lose sleep during the day while they bang on your apt from 8am to 6pm (even in saturdays), this is a great apt. As far as city location... its awesome... if you like having only one way in and one way out with a light that you might actually never get through, only to find that there is minimal parking. Unfortunatly we signed a year+ contract and have only been here for a few months and I already wish this place would burn down... I dont recommended this apt complex to anyone. Oh yeah... not too mention a pool that was shut down by the health department.... yummy...

The apartment was nice, but the neighbors were very inconsiderate and the property management was horrendous. Very unresponsive, poor communication, maintenance requests that weren't emergencies took months and months to be resolved even when there were safety issues. The location is great and the unit I was in was perfect for me, but living there was not as enjoyable once more inconsiderate people moved into the same building.
