There are not enough good things I could say that would adequately encompass how great living at Park Forest Apartments has been so far. As a resident for nearly a year and a half, I can say without any reservations that my time here has been better than I could have ever expected. Management and staff are respectful and courteous and go above and beyond in assisting the community by any means necessary. A lot of time and effort is put into planning community events, and every single one that I’ve attended has been wonderful and seems to go off without a hitch. The grounds crew works effortlessly every day to keep the entire complex clean and safe. The rent is more than fair, especially with all the amenities that are included. I was paying more elsewhere for a LOT less. The pool is well maintained and provides a great summer atmosphere when that treacherous Midwest heat decides to show up. A respectable-sized gym is included as well for those who make fitness a priority in their life. If that’s not enough, Park Forest is located right off of the River Des Peres Greenway (which now connects to Grant’s Trail!), so residents can be active outdoors as well. I have also utilized the community clubhouse on several occasions, which is perfect for hosting birthdays or any large gatherings. With all of that, plus covered parking, playground, and even a dog park – Park Forest really does have it all. It is located conveniently between 55 and 44 with grocery stores a mile away each way. It’ll be a sad day whenever I depart, but I’ll always recommend Park Forest to anyone who is looking for housing and a great community in St. Louis.

My husband and I lived at Park Forest for 1 year, and we had a great experience! The only reason we left is that we purchased a home in town.
The complex is/has:
-Quiet and safe. We never had any incidents or break-ins. I felt safe taking out my small dog alone at 10pm.
-Friendly neighbors. I met more people living here than anywhere else I've lived.
-Good maintenance staff. All requests were handled well and in a timely fashion. They always said hello to my dog and I when we were out :)
-Nice units. We lived in one of the remodeled units, so I cannot speak to the older ones. However, our 3 level townhome was excellent.

They have many different amenities, and there is a lot of fun things to do nearby. I recommend checking out the walking trails. The apartments have huge bedrooms which is uncommon to find, and it is easy to picture multiple set-ups for my furniture throughout the home. The best part is the office staff. They are very friendly and really care about you, you aren't just a number to them. 100% Recommend for anyone looking for a new home!

-They keep this place so tidy too. It's nice to see they care about the property.
-My place feels like home. I have everything I need!
-Okay for real though, the entire staff here are amazing. I haven't had much interaction with maintenance besides hellos but they are friendly and in the years I've lived here they have always been great. I usually see Catherine or Kristina at the office and they are so helpful. You can just tell they actually care about you. Even though I haven't had much of a chance to talk to the others that work in the office, they are all very much just as friendly.
- My father is undergoing a double lung transplant at Barnes soon and they are offering him a short term lease at a discounted rate while he is recovering. He lives 4 hours away now so it will be nice to have me here in the same neighborhood and we are so close to the hospital.
Basically if you want to hate where you live then you probably shouldn't move here because they will probably do everything they can so that you don't. Lol they gave us free potted plants in cute little pots for resident appreciation week. That was super nice.

The best apartments on this side of town...hands down. The staff made my apartment search a pleasant experience but the real WOW factor shinned through on my move in day. I moved from Southern Missouri and the day of my move everything that could have gone wrong did. I hired a moving company and was a little ahead of them in my car. I was about 20 minutes away from the community when my car broke down on the side of the highway!! The moving company continued to the community but were going to be unable to move my belongings in without someone present in the home. Upon notifying the staff of my situation they quickly sprung into action.
The Property Manager, Kristina drove to meet me on the side of the highway, not only did she call a tow truck for me (that was there in minutes) she also directed them to a mechanic shop she had personal experience with (since I knew nothing about the area), she then allowed me to throw a few personal items in her car as she drove me back to the property. Meanwhile the assistant, Catherine was at my apartment home waiting when the movers arrived.
The staff at Park Forest went above and beyond to save the day!!!!!!
The community is well maintained, lots of amenities and have the best resident functions.
If you are looking for top notch service, Park Forest is the place to be!!! Thank you to the amazing staff who continues to wow me with my experience.

I have been very impressed with Park Forest. I moved in about 3 months ago. The apartment was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The neighbors have been friendly and quiet! The staff recently had a Halloween party and I thought that was very nice of them to do. My apartment has a newer kitchen which is the main reason why I choose Park Forest. Most of the other apartments I looked at were no were near as updated. I also like the grounds. There are lots of trees and open green space which helps make you not feel like your living at an apartment complex. I highly recommend Park Forest to anyone looking for a nice apartment that is also close to downtown. I work downtown and the commute has been very easy.

The fitness center, pool, playground area and clubhouse are all wonderful amenities. I highly recommend Park Forest Apartments and Townhomes!

My family and I recently relocated to St. Louis from out of state. Do to our work schedule my husband and I had to make our decision and complete the entire application process site unseen. Kristina and Catherine made the entire process so easy and stress free! They delivered every promise and more!! The staff went above and beyond including calling me via Facetime so I could look around my actual apartment home before we arrived. Everyone has been so welcoming and has really made us feel at home. I would recommend Park Forest to anyone looking for an apartment community that you can really call HOME!

This apartment complex is best one that we have ever lived in. There is only two of us and there is plenty of space! The patio is nice and fits everything we have. The maintenance staff gets everything done in a timely manner and the property manager and leasing agents are always so friendly at the office. There is a gym, pool, clubhouse, playground and we are a short distance from the greenway (walk, run, bike trail)! We have really enjoyed the stay here and plan on staying for a while!

Despite never having been late with rent, Kristina Singen, the manager, picked a fight with me by ordering me to get rid of my pets, which were on my rental application and for which I pay monthly pet rent. This fight ended up in court as an eviction.
Aside from personal vendettas, you will be bombarded with weekly edicts that whether you are present or not, the office will need access to your apartment. You will have notices put through your door every other day bothering you about this or that. It's not a peaceful place anymore. Rent elsewhere.
As an aside, it is also dangerous to turn into the apartment complex when driving north on River des Peres as you have to pause mid traffic until the oncoming traffic slows down enough to let you through. During rush hour, the wait can last several minutes. Also, the steep slope uphill into the apartment complex can be difficult to navigate in rainy or icy conditions.

We lived here for about 5 months while our house was under repair. The staff is friendly and communicative. The maintenance took care of any issues we found very promptly. We lived in many apartments before, and this place by far has the best management/office. It's pet-friendly (a huge plus for us) and lots of green space in the complex to take the dogs out for a walk. There is also a very nice trail near the apartment if you enjoy a good running/walking/biking. The only downside of this place is the old facility. The unit we stayed was recently renovated so it is much nicer and modern, but the thin walls were definitely a little bit of an issue at times. I definitely recommend living here, though.

My husband and I live here currently, and do not have a single negative thing to say about it. We've been here for over two years, and really enjoy it. It is very safe, and comfortable. The maintenance is wonderful and works very quickly! We enjoy the pool, and work out facility frequently.

As the previous user said, we would give this more stars if we could! We have lived here for six years. We moved from out of state, and previously owned. We are now in love with renting! The office staff are super responsive, helpful, friendly, and professional. They remember our names, the kids' grades, and take time to ask how we are and listen for a response! Sarah, Suzanne, and Stephen are all customer-centric, and I feel like they are our friends!
The maintenance staff are amazing! I had an issue with my stove (my fault). They came out immediately, fixed it, and brought some extra burner covers because they noticed mine could use replacing. They even send us notices a week before they plan on coming to change our air filters! So thoughtful!
We have our own washer and dryer, but have taken advantage of their laundry facilities (they usually give a week of free laundry during appreciation week). We also love the pool, 24-hour fitness center, playground, volleyball court, and community gardening area. We use the spacious clubhouse on a regular basis for our kids' parties and other gatherings. I could go on with the ways they spoil us! The holiday party, raffles, monthly newsletters, appreciation breakfast (staff hands out breakfast on the go), special events (ballroom dancing lessons, anyone?) all take this place up past the five stars that I am allowed to give. HIGHLY recommend this place!

Management was so friendly and knew me by name. I loved their 'free laundry weeks,' which they did a few times a year.
I had one leak in my kitchen sink, and it was fixed the same day.
I'm super picky about noise but I never had any problems here. I could hear my upstairs neighbor vacuum, that's it. This is a safe place for kids (I don't have any) but there's not a ton here and they're not annoying. I had the apartment directly in front of the playground, and while I could hear them if they were out there and I was in my bedroom, there was rarely anyone there.
I'm a single woman and I felt safe enough to use the gym at night and run around the parking lot after dark. The bike path in front of the building was also awesome, but I wouldn't run on that at night.
Parking was never an issue for me or my guests.
My rent only went up about $10/mo each year, which I thought was fine.
I got every bit of my deposit back (but I did clean well when I left). I absolutely recommend this apartment complex. I miss it.

I have lived here for a year and I have to say that this it has been great. The staff get to know you, the neighborhood is safe and homey, and the maintenance staff is unbelievable. I have not had one complaint about living here. I moved out to St. Louis and had never been the the Midwest but living at Park Forest made all the difference. I am moving out soon but it is only because it is too far away from where I need to be everyday for work/school. I highly recommend this place to anyone. You won't get more for your dollar anywhere in St. Louis.

I'd give this place more stars if possible! It was an amazing place to live for 4 years. The property is well maintained and the office staff and other workers treat you like family. Free parking, a pool and fitness center just sweeten the deal too. It was a great place to live especially while I was dealing with the stresses of medical school- I never had to worry about fixing things in my apartment. I was sad to leave Park Forest, and I doubt I'll ever find another place as nice.

and my wife and I would still be living there if wasn't for the first time buyer tax credit. These are the best apartments anywhere, the Michelson Group knows how to do it right. The staff is amazing, super nice and really on top of your needs. The maintenance men are even super nice. The whole complex is immaculate and they are always upgrading things. While I was there 2 buildings got brand new siding (not that they needed it), decks were rebuilt (also not needed), and they started the process of going GREEN! Besides the staff the people that live here are fantastic, never noisy, always say hello when they see you out, and leave your parking spot alone.
