I'm a new resident, not a student, who has lived in several apt complexs in the Michiana community. So far, I am pleased with the overall Uni Edge experience, especially, the maintenance service which is an important part of apt living. Yesterday, the head supervisor, Joe, came to inspect my apt for repairs and suggested the sofa needed be to reupholstered. He stated someone would come later in the day to work on it. Well., within 2 hours, Joe, a new hire, came to my apt., Joe introduced himself, explained his job, and proceeded to work. He reupholstered both the sofa and part of a chair within 2 hours, and even ran the vacuum cleaner to clean the carpet from the sofa's debris. Excellent work.
I have found the maintenance staff here at Uni. Edge to be helpful, friendly and skilled.

This was my first semester living off-campus, and I'm so glad I lived at U Edge! I looked at other apartments, but U Edge seemed the best for me. The shuttle is so convenient when I have to go to campus. It runs every hour on weekdays until 7:45PM. The office staff, shuttle drivers, and maintenance are all doing a great job!

While I did appreciate some of the amenities Edge had to offer and really did like the apartments themselves, my problem with the complex lies with its staff, and in particular, their communication abilities. When I was moving out, I attempted to reach anyone in the office using emails and phone calls to no answer, but when I eventually made my way over to the office, there were three employees sitting around chatting, ignoring the phones ringing. It's incredibly unprofessional and frustrating when you just want a quick clarification. Additionally, I moved out in early May and was incredibly surprised to get a bill in late June with charges for things that I wasn't responsible for. After being told that communications would only proceed over email for legal reasons (which I understand), I had to wait weeks to get a response to only one of my list of concerns, which is frustrating, especially when it was done at no fault of my own. Overall, the apartments are decent, but the company tries to screw you over when you're trying to move out. They need to work on improving their communications with their tenants.
