Never written a bad review about anyone my whole life just think of this as a warning before you sign with them. If your not careful about there renews and if you change your mind and decided to stay there. They will charge you a one months rent fee then put you back on your rate. They scammed me in to signing because they told me If I did resign my lease that they would keep me at my rate and not charge me the 1785 which is a one month lease keep in mind that I signed for my 3rd year and they still scammed me. After 2 months went by late fees racked up I called them and they still promised that they would adjust it. Never happened. when I explained it to them I really didnt get the feeling that they really cared about what was promised, it was black and white to them. Kate Moss was the active manager that made these promises to me. Heres the kicker normally If your late they are on you everyday with emails to pay them to the point where its harassement which is understandable because you got to pay what you owe, this is how I know they scammed me and led me on. For 2 months I did not get 1 email about any let fees or balanced unpaid notes on my door until 2 weeks after I signed my new lease in the beginning of June. Anyone that reads this can get the idea of how they conduct business

Never even got to rent here as the staff was horrible with us from the get-go. We applied in October, and it took forever for them to get in contact with us, almost two weeks. They kept telling us they would call us and we wouldnt hear from them. Finally about two and a half weeks later they tell us that we were not qualified over something on my fiancs background. (My fianc is a police officer and has a clean background.) we tried to get it cleared up and have an extensive background done, but from then on they treated us like we were more of a hindrance. Towards the end of our second encounter they were rude and just stopped reaching out at all. They said they were gonna return half of the amount for our initial application, and almost a month and a half went by and nothing. We had to go in person and even then it took another three weeks before we got our money back. Overall Im so glad we didnt rent there, the staff was crappy, rude, and ver unprofessional. If youre not going to be able to contact the customer in the time youve said dont make those promises! Not to mention every time we made the drive out we happened upon upset residents waiting in their lobby. Shouldve known thats the kind of treatment we were gonna get. Good riddance.

I've been living here for almost a year, and I hate that I have to leave! Management is always really nice and helpful plus maintenance is amazing. I've a had a couple of plumbing issues and had to have a fire extinguisher replaced, and everything was done within a day (or on a day you choose if you schedule an appointment). I was disappointed with the gym when I moved in because none of the equipment worked, but the complex has upgraded it. Unfortunately it is taking much longer than expected to complete, so I may not get to use the new stuff, but I got a glimpse and it looks pretty good. One thing that was an issue when I first moved here was constant piled up trash at the dumpsters. It seems like they are being emptied more often and the old dumpsters were replaced with slightly larger ones, so they fix things that tenants have issues with. I'm very happy with the complex and I really wish I didn't have to move.

First of all I have to say kudos for being handicapped accessible! I just found myself needing to utilize these ramps and elevators. Perfect apartment complex if you're looking for wider doorways, no carpet THROUGHOUT the entire 2/2 apartment. Kitchens are beautiful and spacious. Have to have your garden tub! Right now upgrades are being made to the pool, set to open end of April. I believe for the area, the amenities and floorplans...this hidden quiet gem is a great place to call home...not just an apartment. (Tiffany in the office is the best! Made the whole process so simple.) Will update as I live here.

I've been here nearly two months now and it's really a great complex. Nestled back in a beautiful/quiet wooded area. Has a dog park with a gated area I can let my dog loose in too. They are currently renovating the pool area and have emailed us to let us know they are adding a nice covered grill area as well. Regarding the office and personnel: Giselle and Tiffany were absolutely terrific. Incredibly polite, courteous, and very attentive. Thanks!

Great after take over by new company. Moved in March of 2017 and lived at the complex when the new management took over. Staff in office were always prompt and communicated on all issues. Kate was extremely helpful regarding the move out process and getting everything taken care of. Maintenance requests were always taken care of immediately. They are adding amenities and upgrading features at the complex that unfortunately were not completed by the time we moved out. However, for the location and the price this cannot be beat. Will definitely recommend to others in the future.

And charging 35.00 for front door garbage pick up some night they don't come around. So you have to through it away yourself or get a nasty letter from the front office. They need to pay the bill. The so called management won't do any about the parking you have to have a permit to park here. Get up push away from the table of snacks and do something it called walking.

Maintenance is loud in mornings, trash bin always overfilling and I can smell it from my balcony, ITS BEEN 5 MONTHS AND ALL THE GYM EQUIPMENT IS BROKEN, every time I call in they say "it's on it's way" and they still have us paying for broken gym equipment. I'm a sick woman and I need to workout daily, it's inconvenient for me to get a membership at a local gym ( but why should I when I signed my lease on good gym equipment) walls a super thin so you can hear almost anything, to phone calls, restroom privacy, baby crying, etc.

UPDATE! Ive been living here coming on two years now and I cant lie when marquis took over this complex things have really really shaped up! I would refer anyone here! Great staff, they always deliver in great time on promises. Management has a go getter attitude. youll always get a wave and smile anytime you see a maintenance guy. Awesome Job Marquis ! Terrible staff. Been here for 5 months, referred a friend a week after I moved in the staff always lies about the referral. Was supposed to come in in 60 days it's been about 5 months and I still haven't received the check for $500. When I call to ask the staff always makes up some excuse. And "gets someone to call me back" which they never do. One of the WORST places to live. Just go find a different complex.

UPDATE!!! This is an update from my previous review as promised. I posted the original review about 2 months prior to this review. After MONTHS of getting the run around from management about the parking situation, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has been resolved and they keep feeding me the same pretentious stories about "Renegotiating contracts" "We just got new management" etc. They give every excuse under the sun and insult my intelligence (which is really what irritates me the most) by lying to my face as if I'm an ignorant resident. I'm a very patient person and 10 months later with no resolution of the problem, I'm finally posting a review for horrible service. I PAY for a covered parking spot and I EXPECT MY paid parking spot to be available to me when I arrive home. In so many cases, there are inconsiderate people who park in my spot and NOTHING gets done about it. MANAGEMENT doesn't care. I've kept in contact with them during my whole lease thus far and NOTHING is done. ACTIONS speak louder than words and NO ACTIONS have been taken for a solution to satisfy their residence who pay for their parking spot. I was promised a return call after I finally voiced my dissatisfaction about the situation and to no surprise I did not get a return call as promised re: the parking situation and ongoing "renegotiations" about the towing service. This issue and the fact they attempted to insult my intelligence has taken my review down to 2 stars. I pay for a service, I expect to have that service. They have signs posted for "towing" but they do NOT tow anyone. I would only assume they would tow if someone parked as an inconvenience to the office staff only. I have called the tow company myself and ONLY management can call for someone to tow. After hours you can not get ahold of management so you're screwed out of your parking spot. This is on behalf of those residents who pay the extra money for an assigned parking spot. I'm giving them one last chance to resolve this situation by allowing residents to call for towing. If not, I'll have to escalate this situation appropriately. There are also other apartment complexes erecting in this beautiful area and seriously considering my options.

HONEST REVIEW As far as management goes, they are super kind and are good at their job. Employees are are very kind and curious, I have no complaints about them. The apartment complex is very aesthetically pleasing as well. I live in a three bedroom and it is very homey and surprisingly roomy. When i first moved in (three months ago) my door was not locking correctly and getting stuck so I called up the front office and they fixed and replaced it quickly, in a short amount of time. HOWEVER, what turns me off is some of the residents. This is a pet-friendly apartment complex which is fine, but I always find dog poop all over the place. The owners need to learn to pick up their pet's poop. Secondly, there is always trash being thrown around and not being picked up making the place look dirty and messy. Next, my neighbor's children are CONSTANTLY slamming the doors at all hours of the day and I hear it through my entire apartment and it is extremely irritating. When they are not slamming the doors they are banging on the wall or yelling. I understand sometimes you may need to yell but this is a constant thing. I even had an incident with a disrespectful child who spit on me from the floor above. Another is is that they cut the grass very early in the morning around 7 AM and it is very loud, but at least they are doing it than not at all. Another annoying thing is that my room is next to the pool and there are always children screaming and loud music being played which i wouldn't mind so much if i weren't a college student who is always doing work. I also like using the pool area to grill but it is quite annoying to carry all the supplies and food through the other side, and it would be nice if there were another entrance on the opposite side just for convenience. The pool and the grass cutting problems are tolerable. So, management if you are reading this I have some suggestions/requests: 1. Install a few "pet stations" around the complex with waste bags for pets' poop and waste 2. Add add a couple more trash cans 3. Add a second pool entrance In conclusion, I have the most rowdy, disrespectful neighbors, people need to start picking up their pet's poop and stop throwing their trash wherever they want to.

I give this apt 2 stars bc of the location & the fact that it has an elevator. Still a very generous review. There is never enough parking if you get in past 530 (sometimes not even a spot outside the gate), there is dog poop in the breezeways & sidewalks, they charge you $35 for trash pick up that doesn't pick up your trash, the work out room has 1 working machine, & ive been here for 3 months & still don't have remote access. When we first moved in, our fridge was completely broken & it took them 4 days to bring us a new one. All our food went bad & we had to spend more money to eat out. The fridge door opened into another door bc of the way it faced, it smelled, & had broken shelves. We have tried to address issues directly with them and they just tell us something to appease us, but don't fix any of these issues. They even told us we could call the trash company ourselves. I feel if I'm paying marquis that $35, they should handle it or I should be able to hire my own company of choice at a rate I choose. I would really prefer to keep my $35 to not have my trash picked up since that happens every week anyway.

This review comes 7 months since the signing of my lease. I will keep my review updated as time goes on and I'll adjust my review accordingly. Starting Dec. 2016 I was apartment seeking, especially with the complexes in this area because I wanted to stay in this area of the city. I absolutely love this part of San Antonio. So I'm big about reading reviews before considering a place of business. I almost did not consider this complex due to the reviews but a small part of my gut was telling me to give it a chance. I saw the website for this complex (back when it was Pegasus management company and was called Crown Ridge). From the start the staff, Chase, Martin, Amelia, Maria were all excellent. I never had issues communicating with them. They were always prompt in returning calls or answering questions I had about the leasing process. Due to their polite customer service, it made me feel more comfortable about moving forward in the process because after viewing the apartment, I was very satisfied with the floor plan and complex. My original move in date was Jan 4, however that was delayed about 2 days because the contractors placing new flooring in were still working. This was a little bit of an inconvenience however I was flexible and ok with it since it wasn't urgent to move out of my previous residence. Plus I would rather the contractors do the job right the first time instead of rush it and have sloppy work. My rent amount for that month was adjusted accordingly for those two additional days which I thought was fair and appreciated that. The grounds are kept up and usually do a great job. The only issue with that is some pet owners do not like to clean up after their dog(s). I am also a dog owner and clean up after my dog, but you always get a few bad apples that aren't as responsible. I would not put this blame on management as they do send out periodic reminders to the residents to please clean up after your pets. Maintenance is good about taking care of work orders in a timely manner (not that I have had a lot of work orders because I seldom have any). I even had a request to complete a minor work order while I was home and they were good working with my schedule. Now something I can agree on with many other reviews is the parking is horrible. I went ahead at the start of my lease and purchased a car port spot so I should have guaranteed parking spot. (Car ports are available for purchase and is assigned for your vehicle). However..key word is "should" because since I have moved here, there have been several times someone else parks in my spot that I pay for. This is frustrating to me. Pegasus had a horrible tow policy and required to give the person a 24hr notice before towing, but they leave the next day before notice even takes effect and I was still out my parking spot for that night. You also can't call a tow company yourself because all the companies tell you that management has to call them. I am finally fed up with this happening, new management states they are in process of reviewing the tow contract. I am expecting a change in the policy because as a paying resident for a car port, I'm tired of the occasional jerk parking in my spot. Residents know these are assigned spots and should also inform their guest they have come over. The last time there were no spots available in the complex and several people were forced to park off the complex. I'm a very patient person but this has happened too many times. I'm pushing for towing at the time of incident and to by-pass the 24 hour notice. Overall, this is a great complex to live at. Prices are competitive, it is spacious for an apartment, clean, in a great area of San Antonio, great schools, polite office staff (Amelia and Maria are excellent!) and so far 7 months into my lease, besides the parking issue, I haven't had any other issues to date that would give a lesser rating.

I've lived at a few apartments in San Antonio before this one and by far have had the worst experience with parking at this apartment complex than any other apartment complex. About 5 months ago my windshield was broken, as if someone had thrown a ball or rock at it. Over the past couple months I repeatedly leave in the evenings knowing that when I return I will most likely not find a parking spot inside the gates or that I might have to park my car in the street. Besides the difficulty with parking, the only other problem I've had with this complex, that I've also never dealt with at other apartments, is the amount of dogs and how incessant some neighbors allow their dogs to be when it comes to barking or playing in the apartment; especially late at night. While I've never experienced any problems with maintenance, upkeep, etc., and think the apartments are in really great shape, the parking problem extremely sucks and look forward to moving somewhere where there is plenty of parking and do not have to worry about my car being vandalized or broken into.

Before you think this is a negative review, I want to clarify what I liked about the place. It is safe, secluded but also close enough and easy access to I10 & 1604. The location has amazing scenery. There is a Valero down the street for last minute things. I lived here for 13 months. Landscaping, work orders, were always on time. Fairly new and well kept. No pests. Neighbors are quite nice. Elevators were great to have (we lived on the 4th floor). Not the best but worked. Amenities are good enough, although the pool was pretty small for the amount of residents. I love the maintenance staff. Always so friendly and helpful. Trash valet is great to have. Now for the cons. Communication was not their strong suit. Management was on top of things but they were always "relaying" the message. I hated waiting for things to be solved. Outside of their buildings always looked nice but once you walked in, hallways and such were never truly cleaned. (Maybe needs power washing.) Outdoor light fixtures weren't promptly fixed. Gates were always broken and/or open. NEVER any parking after 11:30pm. No one ever gets towed. Even after receiving emails that management hired a new company. Personally what really got to me was I referred a new resident. We were promised a referral amount. I filled out paperwork in May of 2016. I was told to wait 90 days. In August, I contacted management through email and they told me it was never submitted by the employee so they resubmitted it. My lease ended in October. I emailed them once again about it and never received a response. I only didn't renew my lease because I bought a house. Don't promise something you can't deliver.

My apt was in a building with 3 bedroom apts and I know that made my allocated water bill higher as a result. Maintenance was horrible. Had to enter request online but never had resolution in 18 months to the broken thermostat in my apt...heat and ac trouble as a result year around but I got tired of complaining. Any other requests were not attended to but luckily didn't horribly impact my day to day living. Just irritating. Plumbing issues. Office staff were inconsistent and rude. Also the apt changed ownership twice during my 18 month residency. Their emails to residents are very patronizing. On move out they charged me fees for having to clean- this is subjective I know but it was not left dirty. They charged $56 water for 6 days of occupancy that last month and so when all is said and done, I don't get my deposit back and owe them an additional almost $200! On move in check list I noted that the mini blinds on far right window were broken-documented it. On move out I am being charged for this broken mini blind! Their online rental payment site is FREQUENTLY offline and doesn't accept credit cards. You have to have a check book in 2015! If you took a check to the office the staff were unusually stressed out and you had to wait a long time to talk to one of them. They even once sent me away and told me to pay another day. I refused because my friend got an eviction notice for doing this. The office staff take pictures of residents. I know this from going to the office and noticing when they opened a folder for my friend that they had pics of him and his dog. He had paid his dog deposit and didn't know why they were keeping pictures of him and when asked they could not provide answers. The location is a real plus. There is turkey farm next door and the road is being worked on so no significant traffic. It would be quiet if it weren't for all the kids running up and down and crazy neighbors (paper thin walls).

The 15 months we live at Crown Ridge Apartments were a horrible experience from the beginning. "Luxury Apartments" the apartment we live in was nothing like the pictures on the website or the model apartment, the carpet was nasty before we moved in, management promised new carpet before our move in day but that didn't happened so we had to moved in and after three weeks they replaced the carpet, it was very inconvenient since they have to moved all of our furniture around at the end the carpet never looked stretch or finished is was ripples everywhere. Management also promised to replace the appliances because the refrigerator was dented and never got cold or froze all of our food, the microwave and stove were old and two of the burners were broken, management never replaced any of the appliances they always came up with excuses like they were waiting for approval or they would let us know the following month. We had a leak for over a month on the wall until they finally came to fixed it and it ruined some of my furniture, the windows had black mold and took management over a month to come and fix it as well. The elevators were always nasty with pee and poop on floor or walls we had to used the stairs always even on moving day and it is not fun when you live on the higher floors. The walkways smelled and was always trash or dog poop. Parking is a nightmare it was never enough spaces so we had to park on visitors spots. Management lost our checks more than once and we were charged late fees in two occasions until we requested a receipt in hand writing every time we pay our rent. We had to replaced two of the tires in one of our vehicles thanks to the constant construction going on at the entrance of the apartments. At the end of the contract they wanted us to pay for the poorly job they did on the carpet claiming they need it to stretched it (really? Give me a brake like we were the ones that did a poorly job installing the carpet three weeks after we moved in). The only thing that helped me and my family to withstand the time living at Crown Ridge apartments was the nice view to the hills. I would not recommend this place. Dirty, unsafe, and terrible management.

WORST MANAGEMENT EVER! First of all I signed my lease last year and the next month they let me know that something went wrong and i had to resign the lease (causing my move out date to change). They also lost the first copy and they would only do it digital so that was completely lost forever (conveniently for them). Then it took months to get all the extra fees taken off and some of them I was forced to pay even though it was their fault. I also have never received any of the emails they send out because their system does not work. The online portal also has never worked for me so I could never pay online and they took away the dropbox. They will find every reason to fine you and don't care about the residents at all. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! Not including the construction outside the property has been going on for 2 years and does not have an end date any time soon. Again, LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!

I've complained to the manager at least 4 times and still haven't been taken care of. I've lived in apartments for 8 years and have never had problems like these. I asked for an email or corporate address for the owner to write a formal complaint and all of sudden I'm not getting any calls or emails back. This place sucks, move somewhere else! For the price you pay and the location, it's not worth it like I thought.

They also like to find ways to charge more for water and extra fees without reasonable explanations. They have changed owners and names twice since we've been here and it hasn't even been an entire year yet!! The current office staff is just as rude as ever and they have NO concern for their residents!!! Amelia likes to talk to you as if you are her child and has NO customer service skills. My upstairs neighbors are loud and rude despite complaints about it to the office not to mention that the elevators and breezeways are ALWAYS filthy. For what you pay a month, you can definitely find another place to live that is nicer, more stable, better organized, while also being treated with basic respect.
