I lived here for a year in a 2bed room 2bath. Today was the last day of my lease and I already miss the place/community. If I didnt have to relocate I would have stay for the next year. The leasing office really help make it a good experience as far as staying on the property. The property is very clean inside and out. Very quiet and I like that I cant hear my neighbors every move. Jeff and Jordan thank you again.

The complex is beautiful and well-kept, maintenance issues addressed immediately, and the staff go above and beyond for you. It is a conveniently-located, peaceful and beautiful community.

My family and I have been residents for 2 years. From day one we had to deal with the duplicity of unruly neighbor and grown folk who cant comprehend the difference between the dumpster and the ground. Ive noticed that there an increase in home and vehicle break-ins. Ive personally helped the police apprehend one of the suspects only to be released. Im totally disappointed how this community isnt held to a standard of excellent. I simply asked for our breezeway to be blown out and cleaned because I was having over 20 guest for thanksgiving, IT NEVER HAPPENED... Im over it. If I could break the least today, I would...

Customer service is awful here. I moved out back on August 1st. I gave them greater then 30 days notice, I informed them back in June that I was moving out. My August rent is drawn and I still haven't received a refund for that (and it's 1300+) let alone my security deposit back...its been 11 days. My VA Dominion Utility security deposit has already been mailed and received by me, and my COX refund, too- and I gave them less then 30 days notice I needed to end those services. So for a management that's known for months I would be moving out, they couldn't ensure I got a check in a timely manner? I doubt anyone likes about $2k of their hard earned money tied up. Not to mention, I've called 3x in the last week about it (along with follow up emails for every last one of them) and they never call back with any answers let alone a simple when and how much can I expect to receive in the mail. Talk about horrible customer service. At least have the decency to call back with some easy answers. Not to mention, everything in Andrea's review is still true and it's been a while since that review was written. This place looks nice on the outside and is pretty new but the management is so sloppy and inattentive, and this recent debacle of not giving me my money back has me convinced that this place is not fit for anyone to live in - unless you want to throw your money down a sinkhole, never to return!! Stay away if you value your hard earned money.

Here is quick summary if you do not read my very long review. I lived here for 14 months and i loved the complex , the only reason i'm leaving is because of a job offer and if i move back to area and all things consider i would not mind moving here again. Pro: spacious, convenient location. grounds are well kept, great prices and floor plan. cons: slow maintenance respond, thin walls, noise level. you can feel free to read the details. below of my pros and cons! PRO: Its very spacious and you get a luxury style living for a reasonable price. Big size bathroom, closet, room, kitchen, Just nice! i like that my closet leads to the bathroom and bedroom. Steam-less stain appliances. Great floor plan atleast what i have, i'm not sure if they all look the same. The inside and outside of the complex is very beautiful. They keep the grounds well kept. Very close to interstate I-64 west and East! If you work on the military base here in Norfolk, it will take you no time to get to work. I worked close to base and it took me less then 10 minutes to get to work! Close to the Norfolk airport if you travel often. The complex is conveniently located to alot of thing! Con: The parking space is kinda tight or these people just don't know how to park but there are scratches all over my car! Guest parking is minimum and goes fast during the summer. The walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbor every move and also people going up and down the stairs. lucky for me i didn't really have loud neighbor just the regular stuff here and there. We are also close to the airport so you have noise from that But its at minimum not bad or i just got immune to it. Maintenance request are slow, your request is never done immediately. I never had an maintenance emergency so i'm not sure how that will be treated. The cabinet are poorly installed, the knobs on the cabinets are wobbly. and the cabinets i use often are all wobbly. The sink in the kitchen runs slow so you almost always have to use the garbage disposal to get the water down. I give my 4 stair rating mainly because of parking but its really could be the people being careless. But Overall my stay here was great and despite the cons i would move back here again, because the positive outweighed the negative. And nothing in life is prefect.

too much random people come to your apartment and try to sell you stuff or force you to contribute money for people going to college. A guy came today want me to make some contributions I told him I serve in military I did my part. He said I'm so cheap. What's wrong with those people. I dont even finish my college yet, and who's gonna sponsor me??? please let those stupid people out of this apartment

I honestly loved living here at first, I thought the staff was wonderful but it has gotten to the point to where I am very displeased with them. They don't like to return phone calls that pertain to serious matters, they actually NEVER return phone calls. Maintenance takes absolutely forever, you have to constantly nag and nag before anything even gets done. It's beyond irritating. To pay as much money as I do for a one bedroom in these so called "luxury" apartments, it's crap. I wish I would've moved elsewhere.

Staffs are very nice and helpful. They are always available in office and help you. Coffee and computers & printer in office is very useful. But apartment has too many limits. Once you move in, they will start tell you can't do this, can't do that. I leased a 2 bedroom apartment and pay $1550+ per month. Now I think I should've just bought a 4 bedroom house and pay less than $1200/month! And I can still rent out 1-2 bedrooms to reduce payment. Living in here, I feel I'm living in communist North Korea. They regulate people on everything and decide what should you do what should you not do. I don't feel freedom in here. Overall I'll give 3 star because of excellent service.

I am very displeased with my overall experience at Meadowood Apartments. I was a tenant for under a year, but the inconveniences, frustrations, and general disregard I've experienced in my tenure there is why I'm giving the community this one-star review. I had various serious maintenance issues that needed to be addressed as per their contractual obligations. However, "expedient" service to Meadowood apparently means "five months later." I've been over-billed on more than one occasion, and the negligence of some members of the leasing staff allows for their tenants to be taken advantage of and basically, bamboozled by the leasing system. Unfortunately, this was my first apartment, and I made the mistake of trusting that the staff had my best interests when I signed the lease. I've since learned that this is not the case. It's quite funny that a "luxury" apartment complex that charges such an exorbitant amount for rent cannot treat their residents with a modicum of care. The parent company, The Franklin Johnston Group, is so bloated by the profits from the rapid inflation that we've seen in rental properties that they don't care about the problems that encumber the individuals and families that they house. I regret ever having lived there. Mine is a cautionary tale; I urge those reading this to please seek residence elsewhere.

The staff in the leasing office are absolutely wonderful. The apartments are fairly new, and very spacious. There's 24 hour on call security, and even a lifeguard at the pool. I also appreciate the maintenance, who always come out as soon as possible. I have enjoyed living here!
