Marquette University Neighborhood Summary

Marquette University is Wisconsin's largest private university and attracts a diverse population from all 50 states, various U.S. territories, and represent more than 65 countries. Students enjoy their smaller, more conservative alternative to UW. The school’s Jesuit background and roots in volunteer and missionary work attract a very particular kind of student body that is difficult to find anywhere else. With this comes a more intimate sense of community. Though MU students certainly enjoy all the amenities Milwaukee has to offer, most prefer to find their first apartments in the Marquette neighborhood, or one of the adjoining neighborhoods nearby.

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
