6 Huge issues. Do not live there, and if you already do you better be careful upon moving out.
1. NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY regardless of what they claim, and ridiculously over priced.
2. Lack of security. The gates never worked for more then a couple days, and were down completely during the holiday season at a time when most tenants were out on vacation or wherever they may have been.
3. Also adding to the lack of security, they decided to let themselves into my apartment "to conduct an inspection" and didn't inform me or my wife. When confronted about this, Rachel stated that she had attempted to contact us. There were no missed calls, voice mails, emails, text messages, or any other form of communication. This was a flat out lie. If you are already living in the apartment complex you may want some type of surveillance set up due to the nature of them letting themselves into apartments all the time. And of course that would be the only way to truly protect your valuables. And further more what if my wife had been sleeping or taking a shower, or what if I was? They just decided under the guidance of Rachel to let themselves in. This was not the first time, in fact it was the third time I had caught them. The other two times was the maintenance guys, with only one of those times was there any fore warning. I don't know about you but I don't like people in my home when I'm not there!
4. Upon moving out and attempting to break our lease wit our military orders, Lakeside Village, specifically Rachel the property manager charged us almost $400 stating we didn't give them enough notice. Now with military orders, as most know, sometimes you don't have the luxury of having a long time to inform someone. Instead of understanding she refused to budge, and took my money. All of course knowing the apartment would more then likely rent back out and of course reap the money from a new tenant as well, of course by doing this reaping double the rent for the same space. In my long military career I've never dealt with a landlord or rental agency like this place. And upon moving out, during the move-out inspection it was "immaculate" according to the inspector, just in case anyone was thinking it was destroyed or whatever the case may be. The apartment was cleaner when I returned it then when I received it.
5. Low water pressure all the time, and the hot water would run out way to quick. You could barely take two showers without running out of water. It was also extremely noisey all the time. Neighbors at 2 and 3 AM making lots of noise, and you could hear your neighbors through the walls as well.
6. Regardless of how the staff may seem at face value, they were rude for the most part. They claim to be there to help and such, it's not true. They are their to simply take your money. If you move in, you will regret it.
