What started out at first as a beautiful golf course view 2br apartment, quickly turned into a nightmare as more and more sketchy people...

What started out at first as a beautiful golf course view 2br apartment, quickly turned into a nightmare as more and more sketchy people moved into my building. These people would fist fight in the main hall and throw each other around. Cops were called and because there was no evidence of a physical altercation, the cops left it up to Pembrooke to do something about it. Well 6 months later, these people started to retaliate. Harassment, physical threats, all in broad daylight and with my 2 year old with me. Pembrooke did nothing, we called over and over again. Eventually it got the point where these people would physically prevent us from leaving our apartment (standing right in front of our door, screaming and cursing) so my wife went to the leasing office and spoke with them. They laughed like it was a joke. That is when we knew Pembrooke didn't care about us, all they cared about was the money. We made EVERY rent payment on time and were never bad tenants. BEWARE THIS PLACE!

I have lived here over 12yrs and havent had any problems until this last year and the staff is very unprofessional get upset for having to do there job. Got my car towed cause I pay 50 dollars for parking instead of 8 dollars to park any where I should have walked the complex to find a sign for towing a vehicle that was parked in my spot @ 5am in the morning because there are no sign close to my building, they lost my apartment keys twice, and missed placed my rent payment twice until i brought proof. The assist property manager is impossible to talk to and I've NEVER seen the property manager.

Staff are friendly, I have been working with Bianca she has been great and very helpful with everything. Our apartment is nice the view...

It is a clean complex. After being here more than a year I still feel good about the staff here. Jessica and Lena are very understanding and accommodating. Do not rent from this place. They frequently place mean-spirited notices on all the residents doors notifying them they'll fine them $200 for leaving too much stuff on your balcony/porch or if they don't pickup dog poop. Personally, I'm not a fan of dog poop either but they don't need to threaten everyone with fees repeatedly. Recently, they had a tow company come through the apartment complex and put notices that they would tow vehicles in 72 hours. Mind you, this was even for people that pay the $8 a month for parking. They'll exploit their tenants for a quick buck. Run as fast as you. This place is run by greedy charlatans with no ethics. Also, they never ever return calls or pickup the phone to the office. Too many of the office workers are dunces whose only qualification seems to be having a pulse.

Ive lived in Denver my whole life, and Ive never seen anything like this. My apart had so many maintenance problems, I couldnt explain them all in this post. My heater had problems, my A/C never worked, and my refrigerator doesnt work right.... The management here is a joke, and they are (BLDG Property mgt)THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL people Ive ever dealt with. They act like slum lords, its really pathetic. Since I originally wrote this review: rodents have invaded the INSIDE of my apartment! I caught about 11 baby rats so far (its the beginning of spring! Usually this happens in October -November) I had to call the Denver health department for help. Im trying to make sure nobody goes through what I went through. Run, dont sign a lease here! My lease agreement? No, this has nothing to do with BLDGs ripoff lease agreement. Thats another bad post/review! You guys are no good, period. Youre apartments are run down, and you dont (cant) fix anything! Ive called you for many problems, and youre maintenance man didnt fix any of them! Plus youve been ignoring a SERIOUS Rat infestation for a long time. People need to know what you are doing at BLDG management, thats it. FYI -Im set to move out of this hellhole 6/4/18, my lease ended in March. This post has nothing to do with my lease.

Terrible management. The apartments are in poor repair and the leasing office refuses to do anything about the public health issues that are prevalent there; such as rats, bedbugs, roaches, and mold. There are literally rats the size of rabbits; they're constantly found dead in the parking lot, they can be seen scurrying around the buildings, and heard running around inside the walls. Rodents come in the apartment through the gaps between the wall and plumbing under the kitchen sink and have dug holes in the cabinet; several have been caught, including a live one. Almost everyone living on the lower levels has insect issues, and the laundry rooms smell strongly of mold. The staff become defensive when these issues are brought to their attention and they refuse to take any action. Needless to say, a city inspector has been called. As if the above issues weren't bad enough, they want to charge their residents a fee to park in the parking lot when this should be covered by the rent and you will be towed if you do not want to pay the extra fee or park on the street.

This apartment complex sucks. Not only do you have to pay for parking but you also have to pay for the laundry and load...

This apartment complex sucks. Not only do you have to pay for parking but you also have to pay for the laundry and load a card that cannot be reimbursed to you. The staff is never friendly and they're always too busy to help. Any time you go to the office there is a line or the staff is rude. Or sometimes you need to load your laundry card and they're closed for lunch and won't let you in. Maintenance is a nightmare. There is a smoke detector that has needed new batteries since October and it's now March. Also I put in a request for help with something and they didn't even knock and I was asleep the whole time they were there and god knows what they were doing I'm my apartment while I was sleeping and as a bonus I sleep nude and that's terrifying even without my PTSD. There are domestic disputes all the freaking time. Pople yelling so loud you can hear them through the walls for HOURS. It's kid friendly I'm that kids will play outside at 6 in the morning and wake up everyone. I had to resort to earplugs. The apartments are disgusting I spent well over 6 hours cleaning when I moved in and I could scrape the dog hair up with my fingernails and I'm allergic so it was a joy to be exposed to dander that could have killed me because they can't clean.

Should have ran when I had the opportunity to back in August when the apartment I had just gotten the keys to move into appeared to have a bat infestation problem. Seriously I was doing the walk through and found a dead BAT in the bathtub. When I brought this to the managements attention and insisted I would not move into this unit, they were apparently already aware of said issue. All I can say is thank heaven there was a dead one in there or I would have moved in only to have that issue. The leasing staff has always been nothing other than snippy, rude and short with me. Despite the leasing staffs ability to work with me to find a solution after the bat incident, the manager reached out to me the following Monday as quite pleasant and found a solution for me. Though I was still quite skeptical due to the numerous negative reviews, I accepted her offer and hoped for the best given that I had to move ASAP. Within my first two weeks of living here (in August) my A/C went out. Despite numerous calls to contact the leasing office, visits to the office and maintenance requests, I lived without A/C for over two weeks during 90+ degree days. Quite unacceptable given that I pay an outrageous $815 for 360 SQFT. I have been forced to pay $8/mo for parking that is nearly non-existent if you get home any later than about 9 or 10 pm. This is something that is NEVER mentioned in the lease, and they coincidentally forgot to tell me about it when I was applying for an apartment. But you best pay unless you want your car to be towed and it will. The laundry situation is absurd. You must load a prepaid card, but you can only do that in the leasing office which is open from 830 530 (coincidentally the same hours that nearly every working individual works) or on Saturdays from 10 4. And it accepts cash only, but no 1s. Half the time it takes your money without reloading your card, and then you are forced to contact the CS department to try to retrieve your lost money. The halls in the apartment buildings are FILTHY. They reek of stale cigarettes, mold, and dirt. The wall leading to my unit has had an egg yolk smeared on the wall for at least four months and has never been cleaned. The grounds maintenance is okay. But there is a serious rat infestation problem. Im talking huge, squirrel sized rats that dart in front of you when youre walking on the sidewalks its disgusting. Recently, it was clear that someone clearly tampered with my ground level window. My screen had been tore off and the window lock was broken. I filed a report with the police, but when I notified management she hardly said a word wasnt in the least bit concerned. When I expressed my desire to move to a 2nd floor unit elsewhere on property due to feeling unsafe in the ground level unit. She told me that she could not do that for me. Instead, I would have to sign a new lease. I wouldnt sign another lease here if my life depended on it. What I simply do not understand (and she either cant explain or refuses to do) is why they will not let me transfer my lease to a unit that I would be paying MORE for? Im not trying to end my lease early, Im not trying to pay them less. Im trying to give myself a better sense of safety in this rather unsafe community, and she refuses to let me and wont answer me as to why. Ive tried to give this property the benefit of the doubt time and time again. Ive refrained from writing this review, but I have had it. I hate coming home to this place. Nothing about it feels like home and I dread it every single day. I cannot wait until I get to leave this filthy, unsafe apartment community.

Last week when I went to get my new mailbox keys she just gave them to me without asking for any information about me to confirm I am in fact the resident, or without checking and ID. And they did this very same thing back in August when I went to get my spare keys. This is frightening. You are giving keys out to someone’s home – practice a little safety, it takes two seconds. I just move to Colorado and looking for apartment in came across this apartment complex, I applied for a 1bedroom and 1bathroom, they showed me the Kennedy apartment that was 978 the leasing office said they have a remodel apartment for $1030 I was happy about that but when I moved came to sign my lease and did a walk through I notice there was no remodel done to the apartment I was told about it had the same cabinets that looks old so I was lied to, I ask why am not getting the remodel apartment I applied to from the start I was approve in September 2017 and moved into my apartment November 2017 they had a month to update my apartment or give me another apartment with the renovation in it but that didn't happen at all, I asked why am paying for a remodel apartment and which my apartment not, the leasing office said we didn't have time sorry, They didn't offer to go down on the price in pay the $978 they had the nerve to get smart with me for no reason at all i have the right to ask a question, I'm stuck with paying for something I don't have and that's not right nor far, I cannot wait until my lease is up, I feel like this if I wasn't black I would have had the apartment I applied for with no attitude at all, I didn't know we still living in the past, this not right nor fair at all making people pay for something they don't have this place is a ripoff so think twice before you move here please explore more options in let this be the last option save yourself from the headache, I hope this help you in the future.

I'd like to give the place 5 stars since I guess I live in the best building and the best apartment, not too hot and not too cold, in front of the park and very quiet, also I guess my neighbors are the best ones and I never see insects, so again... I guess I live in the best apartment and the best building of the complex, different of all those people commenting here because I don't know what are they talking about. Ohh rats? Who cares, they're animals, raccoons? Coyotes? Of course, we're literally inside of a park and in front of the Cherry Creek reservoir, of course there's animals and I love them, including the rats and squirrels. I had problems with the AC but luckily they replaced for a much better and quiet one couple weeks after I moved in. This is not the best I lived at all but I like living here, I feel a good energy coming from my apartment and I never felt so comfy in this country as I'm feeling now, I lived here in fancy houses and fancy apartments but I always had problems with infestations, criminality and problems with staffs but this place is different, they never bothers me and they makes me feel very comfy, I actually don't see any of the staffs guys for more than two months because I don't actually needed it... Well so why I don't give them 5 starts? Because I know I'm probably a lucky tenant, the centered buildings are loud, I always see shady people when I walk through there, I never use pool so I don't have anything to complain, I don't use the laundry, I don't talk with my neighbors (and they don't talk to me as well, that's why I feel lucky because I know living surrounded of lots of people aren't easy), also I see very often emails informing the hot water is not working for days (luckily I never had this problem here, different of the last place I lived which I paid 2000$ a month and I had all those problems people are complaining about in the comments). Parking lot? I'm fine paying 35$ for the carport even though I think it should like 20$ but I feel people when they complain about paying 8$ for the open parking lot, but guest what?! If they don't charge for it people will just use the parking lot as they please but I have a better option, why don't charge and put specific spots for each apartment? Anyway, I could write a book cuz I'm a very talkative person (even though I don't speak English very well but I'm trying, I speak 4 different languages so it's kinda hard to learn one more Lol) and also I could give them 5 starts but the place isn't 5 stars so I'm happy giving them 4 :)

DO NOT LIVE HERE unless you want to end up throwing away a lot of your possessions and get eaten by bed bugs night after night. They are being neglectful in their treatment of the bed bugs are allowing them to travel room to room. Worst property manager ever since they were bought out by BMC Investments earlier this year and BLDG Property Management is also filled with rude and neglectful staff. I lived here for three years and everything was fine before the new owners took over. For your own sake stay FAR FAR away. They are also forcing me to pay TWO months rent to break lease because I want to get away from the bed bug infestation that THEY ALLOWED to happened because of their NEGLECT.

Terrible management. The apartments are in poor repair and the leasing office refuses to do anything about the public health issues that are prevalent there; such as rats, bedbugs, roaches, and mold. There are literally rats the size of rabbits; they're constantly found dead in the parking lot, they can be sewn scurrying around the buildings, and heard running around inside the walls. Almost everyone living on the lower levels has insect issues, and the laundry rooms smell strongly of mold. The staff become defensive when these issues are brought to their attention and they refuse to take any action. In addition, the neighborhood is very shady and there are lots of drugs...not the normal stuff like pot either. As if the above issues weren't bad enough, they want to charge their residents a fee to park in the parking lot when this should be covered by the rent and you will be towed if you do not want to pay the extra fee or park on the street.

This is not a good place to live.. PERIOD! They charge for parking anywhere on the property, yet there is no where to park. The hall to the laundry room STILL smells like pee. There is always at least one washer or dryer broken. The front door that is supposed to be locked is always broken. THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY HOT WATER (CURRENTLY) FOR THE PAST SEVEN DAYS. And they have the audacity to hang lease renewals on peoples doors when they have no hot water during 24 degree nights. Moving out. P.S. To the owner.. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Lol what can i really say other than the price is good. Nothing good at all. Do you like your ac running in the summer? If you do this is not the place for you. It only runs for 6 hours then inside is allot hotter than outside. maintenance is a joke. You now pay for open parking. Half the time the pools are open are usually closed because other people don't know how to obey rules. The staff there is also a joke they will lie to save face. Then when you do leave they change the locks on you even though your paid for the whole month. This happened to me. Nn212 was the number i stayed at. I would avoid this place. My kids and i stayed for a year and a half. We found something else twice the rent that's allot better.

This is the worst place I've lived in my entire life. We have to pay extra $25 every month because they said that our apartment was remodeled BUT when we first moved in, the AC was broken, super dirty carpet in the bedroom, moldy cabinets, etc . Additionally, we've been dealing with cockroaches the whole time because they can't fix the problem completely and we never had cockroaches in the house before this place. We don't feel safe living here since there are people yelling, fighting, throwing stuffs... at night. It takes forever to get a hold of someone in the office if you want to make maintenance requests. However, the staffs are friendly and willing to help you. We are always patient to work with them because they are nice. But once again, nothing get improved and we still have to face with tons of problems everyday.

AC flooded into my bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom carpet they refused to replace. The bathroom vanity was so rotted and moldy that they did replace but it took exactly 53 days for this to happen! It also took 3 weeks prior to these things being reported for them to figure out where the leak was coming from. They ran the ac in the highest it would go to keep testing it and raised my excel bill from $30 a month to $75 that month and then refused to pay the bill. Ac doesn't work again but it is fall now and I do not want to deal with maintenance anymore. I asked for compensation in rent for all this and they refused that as well. I have so many complaints about this place it would take too long to report it all. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I have lived here for over a year, I love my apartment and all the amenities they have for my kids, the program after school helps me a lot.. yes the apartments are old and with some issues but nothing in life is perfect. calling the office to put in a work request is all it takes. i do recommend this apartments specially if you have kids!

The staff that runs the place is amazing specially Sariah very lovely and will always help you, so if anything goes wrong in your apt - it's fixed immediately. The building is clean, safe and has nice people that become your neighbors. The neighborhood is a few blocks from the Light rail, close to 25 and Cherry Creek. I will definitely recommend this place.

No two staff members could give accurate information, move in dates, or provide accurate pricing. Once we finally had keys, we moved into an apartment with dirty carpets and tile, and broken outlets. Maintenance request after maintenance request later, don't ever expect to feel at home here. Air conditioner goes out almost every few days, with requests to fix it ignored. Every machine in the gym is always damaged or broken. Pool is always closed due to vandalism, and crowded with other residents hosting parties illegally. Laundry rooms are always dirty. The only access to adding money to your laundry card is the front office, which operates on no set schedule. You can show up 20 minutes before the office is set to close, and they've already locked the doors. This complex continuously changes its lease terms, in the last 6 months alone adding parking as a fee through a separate company. As well as taking away smoking on the balcony, I am personally not a smoker, but could imagine how aggravating that is for residents who are. Lastly, don't ever expect to feel safe living here. They say they conduct background checks on every resident, but I do not believe that to be true. The office will not sign for packages, so make sure if something is delivered it is not left at your door without a signature, because it WILL be gone within the hour. Expect to be up all hours of the night between parking lot fights, break ins, and police called almost daily. Expect to feel harassed by your neighbors while you are walking your dog or checking mail. I would give this apartment no stars if I could.

Maintaince man dumped about 20 dead hornets in front of my apt door and left them there. I pay $35/month for a parking "garage" just so some uninformed prick can park there and I'm forced to walk home after a 10/hr graveyard shift. Hallway floors are gross with bugs and occasional dog poop. I broke my lease, spent 2 days cleaning the apartment and was still charged $35 for a "dirty oven" which I did clean. leasing office staff are all wonderful, very kind and personable employees. I always enjoyed going in there and chatting with them. overall, worse experience for my first apartment. lesson learned!

Asked for 3 weeks now to have my a/c fixed, been 82 degrees in my apartment all day. Still isn't fixed. Lived here for 2 years almost. It's getting ridiculous. 1:30 am and it's still 82 degrees. A/C was on all day, and never even got the temperature down to 80. Won't even dive into the brown recluse spider issue I have.

This is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. Where to begin. My apartment flooded with what the maintenance worker called "brown water", and they could never prove they they cleaned it properly. I had a number of pest problems including bed bugs, that they would not resolve. Their exterminator only comes on certain days, so if this does happen, you may have to deal with bed bugs for up to 3 days. Recently, my dishwasher stopped working, and 1 month later it is still not fixed. None of the employees in the leasing office are helpful. They have awful communication skills, and often simply admit they can't do anything. The grills don't work, the laundry prices go up every couple of months, and they recently added a fee for parking, even though my vehicle has been broken into 5 times and side swiped once since living there.

Good value, great location and friendly staff. In particular I want to thank the staff for putting in a new parking permit system. People have been abusing the open parking, parking multiple cars, having friends who don't live at the community leave cars on site and having multiple visitors parking long term. The rent is very affordable so I don't mind paying a nominal fee to have parking available.

The security they have take an hour to show up-if they show up at all. People threatening to shoot, stab, kill others. Check the police records, or even the news, you will find a lot of crap about the cases from the people who rent in this complex. Screaming neighbors, neighbors who will blare their music/ instruments all night long. Management that doesnt care about anything other than money. Tiny- AWEFUL apartments for A LOT of money. Laundry rooms that are beyond disgusting and you are lucky if the machines work. Do NOT live here. They will do anything they can to take money from you. you will pay a ton of money for nothing and lose a ton more money in the long run. This complex will do anything it takes to keep any penny they give you all the while charging you 5x what their apartments are worth. Their high class amenities are pathetic at best, and you have to pay money for a deposit on a key- that they wont give back- just to use the basic ones like the fitness center. I have paid my rent on time or early each month for the past 6 months and get eviction notices every month. Last night at 730 I had a man from the leasing office screaming at me for 20 minutes to open my door so he can serve me with papers. I called the police because he wouldn't leave. Recently the check box at the leasing office was broken into. The last time a man was screaming these things outside my door he was at the wrong apartment. Also, I have been calling about repairs need to be done. The office told me the men would be in on 1/6. They came that day and three men entered my apartment while I was in the shower, screaming at my dogs. Still nothing was fixed. None of the office staff seems to be able to help or understand how to run an office. Paperwork isn't updated. Checks are lost or stolen. Phone calls are never returned.

I am not happy living here. I have had repair people in my apt for the same problem three different times and the problem persists. I have had bed bugs brought in on a neighbors furniture but they did spray right away. Check the crime report!! Screaming and loud fighting are the norm and there was a gun battle in the parking lot recently. A "drug deal gone wrong" I was told by a neighbor. If it wasn't for the violent crime and after dark insanity it would be worth the money.
