I've lived here for my full 2 years in Columbus, and have recommended 2 of my co-workers to live here as well! It's a great apartment for what you pay; very spacious (especially now that I'm researching apartments in my new city - wow). I've hardly had any trouble finding parking near my personal complex. There's a pool on-site, fairly new washers and dryers in the clubhouse, and a nice walking trail.
The best part of the complex is definitely the staff, however. I've enjoyed my apartment, but I've always been greeted by a smiling face in the leasing office. Not to mention, Walden Pond is located in a good part of town, near Columbus Park Crossing (AKA - any shop/restaurant you may want/need). It was great for me - a single woman in her 20s - starting off my career!

I lived there for about 3.5 years. Most of the time it was ok and the staff was helpful but as soon as the original manager left, it was awful. The parking is terrible, we constantly had to complain about people illegally parking in handicap spots and nothing was ever done. There were abandoned cars rusting away in the parking lot, taking up space, that were never removed. Constant car break ins and domestic disputes going on. Kids screaming and running around all night, rude neighbors, dogs off leashes - one of which attacked our dog while I was walking him - and their response was to send an email reminding people of leash requirements... they did nothing about our dog being attacked. They were very passive when a lot of things happened where they could have been proactive. Overall, I wouldn't recommend that anyone live here long term. A year or two is fine, but any longer than that you start to see the downside

We have been living here since October and dont have any complaints about the staff, they are excellent. The only things that are aggervating is parking is extremely difficult, there is not enough spaces. There isn't a lot of security, often when I go to play tennis after work, there is 3 males on the courts. And sometimes I sit and wait for them to get done, and then they get in their vehicles and leave the complex everytime I wait. Also, it is a large complex and there is only one pool, there is a lot of residents here and not a good sized pool. as far as the office staff and maintenance crew, they are excellent. My only complaints are just things that were not thought about years ago when the complex was established.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had. There is never any parking, the leasing office never answers the phone, dog poop is always everywhere by the 800 buildings. When I first moved in the blinds were ruined, the kitchen sink was leaking and the bathroom tub was clogged. The employees are nice in person however, they never answer the phones. I was warned not to stay here, I guess I should have listened.

The pond and pool area and walking trails are huge pluses. Maintenance staff is amazing and quick to respond. Love the little gym as it has everything you could need and it's always well maintained. The few issues I've had are noisy neighbors, huge parking issues and mishaps (which I attribute to other tenants, not management) and the courtesy officer never answering my calls. Had some financial issues, but they were fixed immediately and never happened again. I've been here for over a year with my 3 year old and we love it.

Because of Walden pond I will never rent with woodruff again. The property manager is useless. She doesn't know how to do anything on her own. She doesn't know what is legal to do when dealing with a lease. Evicted due to having cats, instead of giving us a chance to pay a deposit. Gave 3 days to move. They tried to blame a poorly placed PVC pipe on us( was not broken) placed me in one of the only non renovated apartment in the building and underground when I moved in. This is the absolute worst place I have ever lived or even been to. I would never tell anyone to live here ever!

This is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. There's never anywhere to park. The neighbors are noisy. The courtesy officer should be nonexistent because he doesn't answer calls. Maintenance takes forever to come and repair anything. These people tell you anything just to get you to move in. The model unit that I was shown looks nothing like my actual apartment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

When the time came they never called us to inform us that their office closed due to the weather so my husband and I wasted almost a hour driving and waiting. Called the next day to inform us why it was cancelled and asked to reschedule. I live in Wisconsin and was leaving.

Had a great move in special when we moved, but there were several issues when we moved. Apartment had previous water damage that has still not been repaired properly. Bathrooms have mildew and mold that was never handled. Window seals do not shut properly in rooms. Had issue with water leakage in storage room, where multiple tickets were filed, which was never handled until water heater finally busted, flooding into apartment of poor older woman below us. The gym consist of 1 treadmill, which did not work for the better half of our two year stay, 1 elliptical, and 1 bike, 1 fly machine, 1 multi purpose machine in a room the size of an office. Parking is terrible. Doors and windows are not sealed properly. Very little insulation between floors and walls. I am sorely disappointed in these apartments. The only reason my wife and I stayed was because of the availability of places in the school district for my kids.

This is the best apartment I have ever lived in! The rent is fair and the apartments are very nice for the price you're paying. The neighborhood seems quiet and it is in a good part of Columbus, however, the best part about this complex is the staff. My boyfriend and I had looked at several apartments but all of them were either too pricey or in a bad neighborhood. We had given up our search for the day when we passed Walden Pond and on a whim we decided to stop by. We were greeted by Nicole and right away we were sold and decided to sign our lease that day. We had to come back for our keys at a later date because we signed the lease to begin in December so my boyfriend and I decided to just get the keys when we arrived to move in. While we were in the middle of moving we realized we weren't going to make it to Walden Pond before they closed that day so we could get the keys. I called Walden Pond in a panic and asked them if there was anything they could do and thankfully they were able to hide my keys where I could find them. This is the third apartment complex I've lived in and it has already become my favorite. I don't have one bad thing to say about this apartment complex!
