Do you love partying like youre 20 years old and littering like its your job? Are you looking to live with over 100 adults who have no respect for their neighbors? Do you crave a whif of barf on a Sunday morning in your hallway? Then post south end is your castle. Post south end has a pretty sweet location on the light rail and has ramen and crepes in the same building as you live. Other than that though, theres not that many pros. The hallways are filled with stains, the courtyards are filled with poop, and the apartments themselves are low quality compared to others at their price point (Id recommend junction 1504, midtown 205, one305 central, or post gateway). It takes at least 3 requests with maintenance to get anything done. The girls in the main office dont appear to enjoy their jobs and love to use the phrase Im the only one here today so you should come back tomorrow at which time they will once again be the only one there. There are 0 trash cans at the facility other than the trash chutes and the specimens that live here love to litter the hallways with their busch light and Little Caesars Pizza. You can expect to find mardi gra beads, bow ties, and dog pee in the hallways at least 3 nights a week. The exit sign in my hallway was broken for 2 months and despite my 3 requests was not fixed until after we moved out. There was barf at the entrance from the garage to my floor for months. It slowly corroded away with my self respect living in this place. People drive through the garage like theyre about to join the cast of fast and furious. In my 6 months there were at least two accidents in the garage. Parking is not monitored as anyone can park within the gates without a sticker so good luck finding parking after 7 pm. The arm to the security gate was broken the entire 6 months I lived there. I suppose they didnt see a reason to fix it as the degenerates would get drunk the next day and proceed to break it again but as I pay monthly rent for upkeep, this drove me partially mad. The courtyards reek of urine and are piled with dog poo. This is partially because the people that live here, as stated before, have no respect for anyone else but also because of the lack of trashcans and dog pick up bags. The fountains are a beautiful swamp green. The pool is fine but attracts the kind of people who still ice one another at age 25. In conclusion. Dont do it. Youre better than this. Unless of course youre a fratastic mommas boy whos never had to do a chore in your life, in which case, this is your actual paradise.

I've been here about 4 months and think this is an awesome place to live. I haven't really had any issues thus far. The maintenance team is great but they seem to be working almost 24/7 as they are only 3 of them. All of my neighbors are very friendly and other than big nights for sports the noise doesn't ever really get that bad.

If there was a -1 star I would select it. If you want to relive your college frat party days and do nothing else but drink until you pass out, then this is the place for you. I lived here for 8 months and good riddance. I lived in near Union Square in NYC for several years and thought I was prepared to handle the bar noise and some level of inconvenience. Be prepared not to sleep during the weekends. Like clock-work, at 2a-3a, be prepared to be awaken by loud screams, fights, and drunken lewdness from the frat bars next door. The Post Southend makes no attempt whatsoever to deal with it. There are plenty of better alternatives for the money. Gene was the salesperson that I dealt with. Before I made the decision to move forward with the Post Southend, I read the reviews and was concerned about the noise levels. Gene assured me that it's modest and rare and that she lived on the 1st level and didn't experience any issues. When I raised the concern, she suggested I purchase ear plugs?!?! Are you SERIOUS? They did offer to move me to another apartment however they conveniently didn't have one available and it was at a significant premium. If you want to be humiliated and treated like a 5 year old, just enter the management office. Very rude and inconsiderate.

Decent place to live in Southend. Location is central to a LOT of fun places, the building layout makes everything relatively close to the amenities. The sound levels can be a bit high, but I imagine that's dependent on the side of the building you live on. With the arrival of the new management, I was prepared to deal with more hassles, but Travis has always been a great person to deal with and has helped me out a number of times. He makes the MAA takeover alright by me.

I lived at Post South End when I first moved to Charlotte. The location and access to the Light Rail were a huge plus for my roommate and I when looking for apartments. The apartments were overall not that bad for what you're paying. I would say for the most part we enjoyed our time living there until they sold to the apartments. Once the apartment sold, all of the office employees who had treated us so well were gone and it was nearly impossible to talk to the front office about anything or get ahold of them. There were fire alarms constantly and one that even went off for greater than 3 hours in the middle of the night and they did not seem to care that it was happening. Upon moving out we received a statement in the mail for moving out and they were charging us for obscene items. I will never recommend Post as an apartment someone should live in when they move to Charlotte. Plenty of other apartments where you pay the same amount and get a nicer complex and not the hassle of dealing with these people.

I'm not sure who wrote the other reviews of the complex but they're not an accurate depiction of reality at Post South End. Here's my opinion as a current resident and why I'd advise elsewhere: Facilities: Since I moved into Post in the summer of 2016 there have been 19 fire alarms lasting between 15minutes and 4 hours. Management has placed blame on the fire department for a faulty system but when the FD is asked about it they blame Post's lack of renovation. 7/19 of these alarms occurred between the hours of 10pm-6am. Outside of the facilities, Post South End also has a major problem with upkeeping the facilities. The Exit signs are often broken withdog poop on the floors and an overall disregard for proper maintainence. Rent: If you pay more than $800 per unit then you're being overcharged. They raise their rental prices by an average of $300 if you sign the lease between May and September. Something to keep in mind as you're looking around. Other residents: I would describe Post South End as in between an upscale Fraternity house and a college dorm. Due to the excellent location Post South End attracts more former Greek partiers than a college party. Its uncommon not to see beer bottles, half eaten food or trash strewn across the premises on the weekend. A few positives: Location: Can't beat it. Right in the heart of SouthEnd and walking distance to everything you could need including Uptown. Apologies for the long post about Post South End, we had an hour plus long fire alarm and I had some time to kill :)
