Don't walk away from this complex....RUN!
My boyfriend lived in this complex back when it was Grigio. He had such a great experience, and when we decided to move back to Tempe, Ten01 seemed like the place for us. WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG.
The words that come to mind when I think of this complex are: apathetic, mismanaged, uncaring, "that's not my job", etc. When we first moved in, we opted for an upgraded two bed with a small loft. We were told the unit absolutely could not be held past Jan. 15th - and so we moved in Jan. 15th. The place was coated in dust and dirt from renovation. The doors did not line up and wouldn't close. The kitchen renovation was a joke and most of the cabinetry came off the hinges within days of move in. Besides having to wait days for maintenance to get our sinks to drain and our appliances hooked up so we could cook and clean, I very nearly stepped on multiple loose nails in the carpeting. When we transferred units 6 months later...some of the issues still had not been rectified. Issues which should have been fixed before we moved in, since it was SO imperative to have the unit rented out by a certain date. You'd think that a hard deadline would be set with maintenance needs in mind, but this complex truly only cares about turning a profit.
I now live in what some would consider the penthouse unit of this complex. It's been 5 months and, well, our roof still leaks, our blinds won't open, the lights still haven't been replaced (one of my roommates literally showers in the dark...in an apartment we pay over $3k a month for...). I arranged my schedule to be home for the blinds to be fixed today - the blinds that obscure the view of the lake that sold us on this unit in the first place, despite our terrible experience in the previous unit. Once again, as with the multiple other appointments we've had with maintenance, the issue was not fixed. So our blinds don't roll up, our a/c unit is mediocre at best and our power bill is astronomical because the insulation and window seals at this place are a joke, our roof still leaks a steady stream of water when it rains, our lights don't work, and the front office staff do not give a flying heck about any of this. Save yourself a load of misery and don't rent an apartment here.
