I have a freind who still lives there after 10 + years,and says its a bad place to live. Bad new paint on the outside of the building. Lots of cockroaches,and someone had bed bugs a few years ago. Management is stupid,and there is trash everywhere. If you can afford a better place,it would be wise to find a better place than this location. There are also plenty of car accidents,at the corner of Pershing & Brookside.

This apartment complex is not all it seems to be my brother rented this dump while I was in Alaska. There is such a huge infestation of bugs, the property owners are raising the rent to get people to move out. The remodeled units are getting the floors and new blinds but what about the individuals who have been here and waiting to have their apartments upgraded for 1000 dollars a month a straight rip off.

Today 9/12/17 I was over at this property to view as a future tenant. This property is not only cold and dark because of paint color choices inside, this apartment complex has a roach infestation. While there was no dogs out at the time you can see that they don't clean up behind the dogs. Needless to say Im not interested in renting this property.

Make sure you read the fine print before you sign on the dotted line.. Granted each persons experience will differ but there are a few things that are straight across the board,like the roaches !! They are disgusting and here too stay unless they decide to put a tent over the entire property! Also they charge for water garbage and sewer on top of the exorbitant rent increases that we continue to incur. None of the cabinetry or wall ,bathroom or kitchen fixtures are updated only some floors yet they're calling the units remodeled. These people are money hungry and unapproachable,they don't want to here any complaints personally only via email. They refuse to be accommodating and care not about tenant issues. There is heavy drug traffic and violent rude occupants that make you Leary to leave your home . They have vicious pit pulls allowed to live here that have already bitten or tried to attack the resident children. I warn anyone thinking of moving here DONT!! The payments are so small it give the feel of an underground bunker or a motel..anywhere but here would be the best option..I advise you to take heed I wish I had of

Moved in April 2017. Okay place, pretty small apartment though. Ours wasn't very clean when we moved in (ours had been remodeled right before we moved in). Manager is nice and on sight 9-5 Monday through Friday. A maintenance guy lives on sight. The company that owns it is slowly remodeling the entire complex. Pool and on-sight laundry. Parking is not assigned. Rent is 775, but it includes cable and internet worth 100 bucks, so it's a fair deal. A couple of crazy neighbors, but overall everyone has been friendly and welcoming.

Slapping on a bad paint job and changing the name to "Residences at Brookside" doesn't magically turn this run down den of criminals into anything livable. Exploiting the glut of Bay Area refugees this series of shacks has somehow managed to raise rates that than being knocked down, as it should.

These apartments are great if you are a convicted felon or perhaps just a normal person interested in a life of crime. Considering the management doesn't do any sort of back round search or screening process, brookside apartments would make for an excellent gang hideout or trap house! With managers nowhere to be found and renters too afraid to leave their houses you could possibly get away with a litany of crimes, with close to no repurcussions! If you're like me and enjoy falling asleep to the sound of gunshots or you prefer to live in "the danger zone" come on down to brookside apartments!

None of it! Most disgusting place to live. Nothing gets fixed, I have holes in my walls, my shower wall is falling apart. Pool isn't even open!!! I'm 6months pregnant and my air conditioner don't work! I recommend NO ONE live here. Not till mention the car thefts and house thefts in the complex that the on sight managers don't care about.
