This (at the Chardonnay) is the most unprofessional and unorganized office management I have ever encountered, in my 50 years. When Ron (who has lied to me multiple times) made an appointment with me for a tour, I got there on time and he said they were full and there was no unit to look at. I asked him how he did not know this, when he made the appointment with me and that I do not like my time being wasted. So he proceeded to fill out a card, he said was for pre-leasing. Ok... fine. I gave him my information and asked for a call. He said he would more than make it up to me, should I go with them. Ummmm..... well, no call, so I called him back a few weeks later, to follow up. He THEN told me he can't move forward without my application AND my security deposit (something I told him he NEVER mentioned while I was there a few weeks ago). I explained that I do NOT give my money away to anyone, when there is no unit available yet. Ron said he can't move forward without any of it, but that some units were coming available. I told him "were or are" is not good enough, and that I do not waste my money, giving it away to apartment complexes for the "might be" factor of having one come open. No way. That's not how the world works. I even explained to Ron that ALL other apartments will let you know when what you are wanting comes open, but THEN you have to get your application and deposit/fees in right away, to hold it. I don't know who his superior/boss is, in the office across from him, but he should not be doing that job. It's not for him. I would love to come in and get that place organized and keep people wanting to stay and upgrade from all the negative reviews I keep seeing. But if he is adhering to policies, then policies need to be changed fast. They aren't right and are not geared towards keeping people there for a longer term. Keeping the ones who help pay the salaries happy is vital to a business. Managing apartments is a sales job and a people job. Why not hire people that can do both??
As of now, there is no way I would live there or recommend it to anyone, based on their "slum lord" mentality.... well, Ron's anyway.
And for the one or two loving this place saying we probably did something wrong..... NO. I won't even give this place a try, and I am a long term renter and get approved anywhere I go. I adhere to the rules, but I WILL NOT be continually lied to. I'm glad I caught it before being stuck in a the lease from hell.
