The Property
West County is home to several special properties, this one being no exception. Tucked away near the end of a serene road, minutes from town, lies this magical little enclave waiting to take you away from it all. Set amongst the backdrop of Russian River Pinot Noir vines, this home is surrounded by tranquility, beauty, & nature. Gracing the hills are rolling vineyards as far as the eye will go, while the back line is flanked by a flourishing heritage apple orchard. Everywhere you look brings an opportunity to relax and recharge.
The Vineyard
The 3.5 acre vineyard was planted by the current owners in 2001 and the vines have been producing since 2003 with strong yields. The prized pinot noir fruit for the first 4 harvests went to locally owned Hartford Family Winery in Forestville where it gained great acclaim. Since 2007 however the grapes have been under contract with well known local viticulturist, Paul Hobbs as a vineyard designate which sells under Fraenkle Cheshier Vineyard exclusively to Hobbs clientele.
The Area
The area is one of several microclimates well known to locals in west county. This little pocket is bright and warm often while cooling at night for that natural air conditioning west county residents have come to anticipate nightly. The fog rises quickly here, giving way to warm sunny days throughout the year.
