Compared to many other apartments that I have lived in this has been the best living experience so far in my personal opinion. I am well aware that there is always going to be better or nicer places but for now this one has worked out well for me. However like with any place this one isn't perfect.
The amenities are usually well taken care of and the pool (when open) is usually very clean and quiet. It is a bummer when the pool is constantly closing due to ignorant people living in the complex who can't follow pool rules, but that doesn't reflect on the complex and the maintenance itself. The people who live here are my main concern because in my two years of living here about half of the residents are incredibly rude and have no courtesy for each other. That's my personal experience living here, is to just keep my head down and don't engage which is unfortunate. If I had just one request, I would request a rent drop box. If you end up paying rent late, which regrettably I've had to, you can no longer pay online which is fine. However when I go to drop off my payment after 5 or 6, or on Sundays ( I work long night shifts) the door is shut and if you need to get rent in on time you can't.
On the pro side of things, I've been so impressed with all of the little things the office does for us here. I've never lived somewhere where even though some of the gestures are small, they are frequent and I really appreciate that. Some examples are: Leaving bags of candy on doors for Valentine's day, consistently throwing parties for the neighborhood, office folks driving around in a golf cart and handing out free ice cream, every few months they give coupons to each resident for half price pizza to a pizza place, they have stood out in the cold in the early morning and served the neighborhood complimentary breakfast, have raffles for people as a reward for paying rent on time, and my favorite thing they did was set up free professional portraits for the people here and we got to leave with a photo of our family. The amount of effort they put into making the people happy is really great. I'm impressed with all of it.
Also, the maintenance is very efficient and friendly and I frequent the convenience of the business center when I need to print something or scan something. It's super convenient for me. My dog and I use the dog park here nearly every single and I love it.
Overall, there are some minor flaws but the office and maintenance staff have been unbelievably kind, laid back, and have helped me at any time I have needed it. I won't be living here much longer only because I am saving up for a house, not because the living experience has been bad. This place is upkept and my dog and I have really enjoyed our time here.

Worst experience ever I went through.I went there to rent an apartment and they charged me for administrative fees and application.The same day I was expected to move in they called and cancelled with an excuse that the people didn't leave the apartment.after two months I went back to rent again, they showed the model house and the manager (very very rude )assured me the apartment will be the same.She didn't want to show me the actual house and give the keys until I pay through money order, I did so(I 0sied 800$) so the surprise was, the apartment was small, not clean, bugs inside and totally different than the model house.I went back fought with her for dishonesty : model house is different I said I dnt want this and refund my money I cant stay there , she said the only thing you have to do is to write a paper to cancel the apartment, but you may lose your money cuz western union may not refund ur money..she was disrespectful,dishonest,and rude.She forced me to take the apartment because I am in need to move in .Her execuse was that she showed me tje apartment on website:I SAID ARE REALLY AWARE !!do u think I am gonna rent a place cuz I checked it online !!!and really NOT HAPPY AT ALL.I hate the place and she lied to me that there are no availability to move to a new apartment .I saw people coming renting new apartments

Also the HUGE LUXURY pool they talk so much about is never open. It's June and it still hasn't been inspected LOL get it TOGETHER! Also- if it ever does open- expect it to close regularly for no reason. Last year the pool was closed for 3 days because the.. wait for it.. rope was broken...yes. The rope. I have rented for 18 years and this place is the biggest ripoff I have ever experienced. They claim to be a "luxury" community when all they are is a cheap makeover on an old property. The noise levels are ridiculous. You can even hear your neighbors snoring at night through the wall. And hear your up or downstairs neighbors talking. The type of people they allow in the community is unrestricted. I've had wannabe "gangstas" doing drug deals out my front door. Also had to call the cops multiple times. In addition to this, the prices go way up and all the add on fees make you wish you never moved here. The staff in the office are completely fake and if they decide to answer the phone they will just gloss over your problems unless you get the law involved. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY.

My husband and I moved into our apartment on Brookbank in June of 2014. Our rental rate has gone up since we first moved in (We essentially pay $800 for our apartment-1 bedroom, 1 bath, but that is with vaulted ceilings, updated appliances, beautiful sunroom, spacious bedroom, GREAT LOCATION, etc), but that is to be EXPECTED anywhere. All in all, we have had very little problems...and when we have had a problem, it has mostly been resolved quickly and professionally (I say mostly because there was ONE issue where squirrels were nesting in our attic space, and a maintenance tech who is no longer there -THANK GOD- asked me "What do you want me to do about it? I'm not going to kill them"...definitely wasn't asking him to kill any squirrels).
We'll be renting from the Park for a little while longer, but I can say that when the time does come for us to move on, I'll be a little teary eyed. It's been a great first home for my husband and I.
**EDIT**: There have been squirrels in my attic space for the entire three years that my husband and I have lived here. I've complained for three years, and they still have not resolved the situation. The squirrels have moved to the attic space DIRECTLY above our bed, and wake us up all throughout the night. Used to be happy here, but it has gone down hill because of some of the management here.**
**Another edit: Squirrels have been gone most of the year now. This had been our only major complaint while living here. Jaime Neal is wonderful to work with.**

The gym is very nice and the pool (when it's actually open) is amazing! It's the biggest in the area if I'm not mistaken. While those are the perks, don't expect manicured grounds at these luxury apartments. The bushes are overgrown and cover ground level windows. No matter how many times landscaping comes, they never address the bushes and it just brings down the look outside. If they took care of things like this, I feel the annual raise in rent would be justified. Alas, we've been complaining about the same things for years and nothing is ever done. It's a shame because I like living here but I'm getting tired of them only manicuring the front and back entrances and leaving the middle grounds to fall apart.
Also, the laundry room is always dirty. Machines are always breaking down and overcharging for each "misread card swipe".
There is a slight mold problem here. My bathroom in particular and it was growing on the wall by my shower. Their response was to paint over it
The air conditioning is VERY loud in the master bedroom and when it's running I can't hear someone calling me from the living room beside me. Also, I have to put my tv up much louder just to hear it because it gets so loud in there from the air/heating unit.

All 4 years I've lived there I had squirrels in the attic. They ate holes in the air conditioning ducts and they died in the attic which caused a smell in the apartment. The squirrels running around the attic made it sound like living under a bowling alley.
Air conditioning had to be fixed about every 4 months. They came and recharged it but the airflow was so bad the apartment was never comfortable. They estimated my electric bill at $50 when I moved in but it is almost $100 month and I don't think I use much electricity.
The quality of the renters has gone downhill in the last couple of years. People throw trash out of their cars, the trash dumpster is always overflowing. Dogs poop all over the place.
They charge a fee for everything. The latest is a $16.95 service fee to pay your rent. A service fee for the privilege of being billed for water. (Not the water itself, a fee for them billing you!) A storm fee, a trash fee, etc. Their rent may be competitive but the fees make it expensive.

Terrible management and maintenance is a joke. Good luck if you have an issue, some rules only apply to some residents. Walls seem to be paper thin and I could always hear the people upstairs. Water pipes in the walls were very noisy and would vibrate whenever neighbors would run their washing machine or shower. The Park at North Ridge is only interested in your money and don't understand that this terrible place is HOME to a lot of people. If you challenge or disagree with the staff they will talk over you and refuse to help. I'm sure they will ignore this review just like everything else.

They will be nice to your face to get your into a contract. They're 'renovated' apartments were not properly done, and therefore the heat from the sun comes into the apartment and cooks your apartment-- causing you to run your A/C constantly to cool it down to a livable state.
The manager, Holly, is extremely rude, unapproachable and standoffish. She should, in no way, be in a position to deal with customer service, especially in a position that would have to deal with frustrated tenants. I was voicing frustration about a particular situation. I even told her it wasn't her that I was mad at, but the situation. She yelled at me because "I wouldn't let her talk" and told me she has better things to do than to talk to a former tenant.
We were told we were charged a pet fee for our dog, and after we moved out we were charged $350.00 because they had to replace every ounce of carpet in the apartment. I understand paying a cleaning fee, but when we pay a monthly pet rent as well as a pet fee, why was I told that having a pet at this place was a 'privileged'?
This place is a sham. Stay far away from here unless you like giving money out for nothing... they'll find a reason to charge you extra for anything and everything possible. If I would have known they would treat us this way when we moved in, I would have rather lived in a ditch for the two years.

The Parks at North Ridge has poor management. When we moved in the management had not bothered to check and make sure our apartment was ready for move in. There was not a hot water heater in the apartment and the bathrooms were filthy! The windows were not finished being constructed. They will probably tell you that they are a community under construction but will not explain to you that means it will be loud and dirty if they are constructing in your building! We have only lived here for a few months and we decided we would take the hit and buy out of our lease to get away from such a badly managed facility.

We have been here for about 5 months now, and have seen many improvements to the overal look of the apartment complex. Things like new signs, a new club house and pool (which was promised to be opened earlier than half way through summer) are great additions, but it's just a cover-up for what these apartments really are. The apartment complex kinda serves as a "cut-through" to another road and the traffic through the complex is loud and cars are speeding at all hours of the day and night. The children (ages 5-13) that live in this complex have been doing as they please without adult supervision, leaving behind a trail of garbage and yelling rude language. I have reported many times regaurding these children being unsupervised and in return they say "we're working on it". It's nice that they adleast acknoldge my concerns but after 5 months of no change, i've come to conclude that nothing will change. We've also had many issues with our water and pluming. These apartments look nice, but they are not anything close to a luxury apartment.

Disappointed with this place. There are stray cats hanging out on the grounds, and they have yet to do anything about it. There's no gutters on the buildings, so when it rains, any porch on the first floor becomes a muddy mess. Crab grass all over the place, and all that's just on the outside.
We have seen three cockroaches so far, and we are neat freaks, so they're coming in from elsewhere. The shower is VERY small, and circa the '80's it looks like. Only pluses are the built-in bookcase, the den, large bedroom, and the light fixtures.
Very disappointed. They are definitely not the "luxury" apartments that they advertise themselves as.
