Flushing is a neighborhood in the greatest city on earth, New York City. Officially, Flushing is part of the greater borough of Queens. Although just a neighborhood contained with in a borough, Flushing is still bigger than many cities in America, with an estimated 220,000 people calling it home.

Flushing's history is Dutch, and it was originally a New Netherlands Colony. Eventually though, it was taken over by the British and incorporated into New York. One of the things to not miss in Flushing is Citi Field, where the New York Mets play, and is also home to a Mets museum. For music fans, a visit to the Louis Armstrong House Museum is highly recommended.
