Cars get broken into on the regular here. In the past two months, mine was broken into twice.
Briarwood has fake cameras installed. Excuse me, not "fake" but compeltely nonfunctional cameras. The representative I talked to today let me know that the cameras don't work, and even when they did, the images were so blurry you couldn't make anything out.
My car has been broken into twice in the past two months. I see other people's car windows being bashed in regularly.
This is not a safe place to live. I do not recommend living here.

I've been living at Briarwood for a little over a year now and have nothing but great things to say about this community. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was sold. The office staff are very welcoming and do a great job at making you feel at home-I think this is true for all of Broadmoor. They are so easy to talk to and are just genuinely good people. One thing I really like about them is that they take an interest in remembering/getting to know their residents so when you come into the office, you don't feel as if you don't belong. The first 6 months into my lease, I was traveling and the office staff would check on my apartment, grab my mail, check on my garage, etc. It was very comforting to know that my belongings were in good hands while I was overseas.
The maintenance and and grounds staff are very friendly and efficient. Since I've moved here last April, I've only had to put in one maintenance request they took care of it within 20 minutes!! They always have a great attitude and it's evident that they enjoy what they do.
Finding an apartment is easy. There are lots of apartments with spacious floor plans, great amenities, gyms, pools, etc. Finding a an apartment that you can call home with a sense of community and belonging is special. I am so glad I am able to call Briarwood home. So thank you Briarwood for all that you do! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Briarwood by Broadmoor was the first apartment I moved into when it was time for me to move out of my parents. Fast forward Ive been here two years already and am looking forward to staying with them. Office staff is wonderful and helpful, maintenance is always on time and ready to repair, and the landscape is a nice view. Will be looking into getting a more updated layout but that is my only thing to mention. Highly recommend Briarwood.

I have LOVED living at Briarwood and have stayed here because the staff is incredible. The office and maintenance staff is the same since I moved in and that means the world to me - they are helpful and friendly! My apartment is reasonably priced, safe, beautiful, conveniently located to everything I need, and I've always felt at home here.

The grounds are kept clean, the hallways are always free of dirt, the trash near the pools (2 to be exact ) and in the laundry rooms are never full. When there is a small issue they are on it...QUICK!! Sadly had to call maintenance on Christmas Day last year....and they were here in 20mins with the problem fixed in less than 10minutes. (I sent him home with cookies). The apartments are BIG with plenty of areas for storage. They always go above and beyond for their residents!! Plus you are near everything...gas, grocery store, Scooters, 3 schools!! It's a win win!!
What about the BATS living in the walls they won't kill? My co-worker just moved a few months ago after 3 years of living...
What about the BATS living in the walls they won't kill? My co-worker just moved a few months ago after 3 years of living here. He complained so many times about scratching in the walls at night he could not sleep and he was having trouble breathing. When they finally called animal control they said its an endangered nebraska brown bat or some s*** and they would not do anything about it and the new owner of the complex is worthless and did not offer him squat for any of his hassle living there, let alone the health hazzards. His neighbor got raided for growing weed and that was the last button to push he packed his s*** and moved out. He loves his new place and can breathe rite, without the fear of one of those bats coming through the wall and giving him rabies.
I'm moving in Friday.Does that tell you guys anything

Great apartments, its close to the grocery store and it comes with a gym, pool, and computer lab. Plus they have great security with cameras, guards, and buzz-in doors.

I have rented with them for 2 years in a studio apartment and have been pleasantly content. They have 2 pools, a bigger than average weight room, and the maintenance crew answers and comes out at anytime. The apartment front office holds seasonal/monthly get togethers with catered food & drink and I have always enjoyed them thanks to friendly staff and good ideas. The location is great as it is not a heavily congested area except for rush hour traffic. It is also right across the street from Hy-vee and a neighborhood Wal-mart right down the street. They also have garages for an extra monthly charge (still reasonable). I would recommend this place to anyone.

I love the staff. Everyone has been super friendly and maintenance is prompt. And for the price the apartment is quite nice. The pool is really nice too and it's deep! However appliances are old, they work but just kind of beat up. I live on the bottom floor and the door that leads outside is terribly drafty as are the windows. The main hallways are not heated or cooled so it's FREEZING in the winter and HOT in the summer. Heating is gas. The plumbing is horrible - sometimes it takes me 2-4 flushes to clear the bowl and when I turn on the hot water to run a bath sometimes the pipes will bang super loud. It's just an older apartment building. Like I said it's super nice appearance wise but the facilities are starting to show their age.

The maintenance guy hit my car in the parking lot and admitted several times at the scene he was at fault. When i contacted management I was informed that I backed into him and they would not let me see the video footage.
I had a tenant below me that had a guest that would live there a few months out of the year and every time she stayed there I would get noise complaints even if I wasn't home. I was told there were times management or even the police would stand outside my door and listen to the noise being made in my unit but they they were never able to confirm her story. I was constantly harassed by management over false claims from the unit below me until I gave up and broke my lease 3 months early.

I really enjoy living in Briarwood. My apartment is the cheapest one bedroom, but it is clean and suits my needs. Maintenance has always been prompt with the minor issues I've had in the almost 2 years I have lived here. The office staff are all very pleasant and professional. My only complaints are no dogs and the gym floor has begun to sag. I would certainly recommend the complex to friends looking for a great location. Parking is no problem at all, there are plenty of spots any time I come home. I feel very safe in my apartment as well.

Avoid Briarwood at all costs! I have lived in 2 different apartments there and both were horrible! When I went to check the place out, they showed me one apartment but when I went to sign the lease, they rented me a different apartment! They had assured me it was the same apartment before I signed the lease. The one they showed me had new carpet and an updated kitchen. The one they gave me the keys to, had a hole in the kitchen ceiling, old cabinets, old carpet and I found out later there was mold growing in the ceiling of my baby's closet! When I complained, they offered me $150 on my laundry card like that would fix everything. I had just given birth and wasn't able to terminate my lease and find something new that day or I would have. At the end of that lease, I moved to a different apartment that had updated features but found mold growing in the bathroom! When I complained, maintenance painted over the mold. "All fixed!" They said. I had to buy an oven thermometer because my oven is so old it doesn't heat to the correct temperature but they refuse to replace it. Also, my fridge has two setting, frozen and warm. But according to the paper I got from maintenance, that's "normal". I can't wait to leave this place......
