We've got an 'ohana unit available starting September 1, 2023, located within a beautiful antique 120-year-old Japanese teahouse surrounded by fruit trees, ginger, and vegetable gardens ($1,150 everything included). The property is located in a peaceful and quiet and old neighborhood up the road from the historic Calasa Garage in Kula. Considering the whole package, this is an excellent housing value: 1) your own private, separate locked studio- 2) your own private separate bathroom- 3) your own private separate mini-kitchen with a mini-refrigerator, toaster oven, hot plate- 4) outdoor areas in the larger and beautiful yard to hang out, cook, play, recreate- 5) space to plant vegetables- 6) covered storage- 7) water service- 8) electricity- and 9) full laundry- no extra charge.
The unit is partially furnished but could be unfurnished or additionally furnished if desirable. The following requirements are non-negotiable and include: 1) a six-month lease- 2) deposit equal to first monthʻs rent- 3) applicant must fill out an application- and 4) if everything checks out and we are about to rent to you, a final step will be a $50 criminal background check fee, and if you pass that, you're in.
We support the following freedoms in our community living environment: 1) smoke-free- 2) illegal drug-free- 3) drama-free- 4) loud/angry/obnoxious/drunken behavior-free- 5) fruit is free: tangerines, figs, avocado, guava, lilikoi (passion fruit), loquat, pineapple and more.
Multiple levels and separate entrances on the top of a small hill with a view creates greater physical separation between units and a sense of privacy. They really don't make them like this anymore...in a good way!
