I moved into Regent Gardens 6 months before it was purchased by Greystone. My advice - steer clear. This is the WORST management company I've encountered in the 10+ years I've been renting properties. It is a great location but you can do much better at this price point. We have been going through brutal renovations for months. This is understandable as this is an older building, but the way in which Greystone has handled communication around renovations is unprofessional, lacks empathy, and is dehumanizing. Water has been turned off without notice. Personal property has repeatedly been destroyed by construction crews. Less than 24 hours notice is given to enter units (countless times!). Mysterious white dust (from a building with lead paint) will be left over your personal belongings and never cleaned up. Construction dates will stretch beyond what is promised to you (and the city!). Strange men will appear on your balcony without notice. Stephanie, the on-site manager, will never apologize for any inconvenience, instead claiming that Greystone has failed to communicate with her about construction details. No one takes any accountability here. When I've contacted Greystone directly, I've either been ignored, had my property damage belittled, or been hung up on. Again - steer clear! And - to the half hearted apology blurb I'm sure will appear beneath this - I do not accept. Show the community that you're so happy to slap with rent increases that you care through ACTIONS. Don't be afraid to apologize when you mess up. I'll stay for the rent control but truly expect the worst now from Stephanie and Greystone.
