I have been a loyal paying tenant for about a year now . In that time my AC has gone out 2 times. The Apartments are infested with roaches and wandering drug addicts. Employees of the Complex constantly take up the parking for tenants and they do not have their own parking lot. Also beware of motorcycles, the advertise 24hr security and that could be far from it.m y motorcycle was stolen from this property and they had no video evidence or eye witnesses of the theft. There is an older gentleman who is unfit to be a security guard and a African American lady who can't seem to stay off her phone. Or out of her car.. or the lobby. Basically she sucks at her job. Patty the manager just served me with a " No Cause " eviction , her explanation was " just because " and " I there is no reason " this can't be legal. I have never done anything nor have I ever caused any problems. I follow all of the rules. I am a Veteran and a single Dad. Everyone in the front office is amazing .

The internet connection in the lobby is a joke. It is free and that is all you can say about that. John the security officer is a Barney fife type. He gamble and plays piker with the resident during duty, he changes the channel in the 50's room with out asking resident watching the channel if ok to change then he walks off after changing the channel on the TV. You do not go into someone's house and change the TV channel and then walk off, how rude but that behavior and attitude towards the residents is typical south cove behavior. Current resident talking

As for insects and such never seen any. Plan on visiting again...always called it home. And as far skin color, no one ever insulted people because of it, every race known to man lives in Las Vegas...

Good place if you're just moving to Vegas. I stayed here since July 2017. Honestly i never saw a mouse, rat or even a roach. Never had bed bug either. Both laundry rooms work just fine. Both pools are always clean. Patty, Brandon are always courteous and respectful and i am a young black male lol. Security patrols the area, they are courteous and always speak, even the black girl, lol. Its small, quiet safe and clean. I'm Going to miss this place, its the first place i called home when i arrived in Vegas. Sorry i have to give South Cove a 5+.

The manger is very disrespectful and honestly dont like young blacks. I stayed their for one week & also paid a pet deposit i never got back. They accused me of having an 86 guess in my room that they claim they seen leave multi times .. That was a lie .. I went threw all the proper steps. Of having company and once they told me that person wasnt aloud on propery that was the last time i seen that woman. But unfortunately this lady knew someone staying their and i got blammed for it but other than that i dont recommends this place to nobody unless your skin color is white. Also bed bugs and security stocks you .

We stayed here four months & never had one issue or complaint from the staff until the very last DAY we were there when I was kicked out abruptly for no reason! Going back a week prior, My roommate and I were in the lobby when we were approached by the male security guard stating that I was 86d from the property. We were very confused, & went to the front desk to ask Brendan about the matter. He stated he wasnt sure what it was about & to contact Patty the next day since she knew the details. My roommate told me that he spoke with a female (Rae) the next day & she said she had no idea what he was talking about & everything was fine. SO JUST TO CLARIFY, NEVER did we receive a notice from them that I was 86d. A week later, I arrived to my apartment & got screamed at from a black female security guard. I went inside & locked the door because I thought it was some crazed ghetto druggie...BUT NO, it was SECURITY! She then proceeded to bang on my door REPEATEDLY while YELLING that I was 86d & she was calling the police. I was beyond SHOCKED at her hostile, belligerent behavior. She threatened me & called me vulgar names. Every other word was unintelligible profanity. We left immediately. After that incident I called twice to ask why I was 86d. The first time I was told they didnt know & to call back, the second time I was told that it was because of noise & a cracked window. I did NOT break a window, I woke up to a cracked window (happened from OUTSIDE my apartment) & notified them IMMEDIATELY when it happened, (MORE THAN A MONTH PRIOR TO ALL OF THIS!) When they replaced it, we were NEVER informed about any issues WHAT-SO-EVER! They actually said it would just be taken out of my security deposit & we moved on. And as far as the noise, AGAIN...NEVER did we receive a warning or notice of ANY kind about this! I did however get a WRITTEN WARNING within the first month we were here for having a friend over to my apartment for 5 minutes, (probably given by the black FEMALE security guard). I specify FEMALE because all of this unnecessary drama is coming from the female employees. I understand that guests need to be registered but if someone forgets is it really necessary to give them a written warning on the first offense??? LOL A TAD EXTREME! This was ALL clearly a PERSONAL attack on myself. They had no legal right to do what they did and I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE ON THEM! The REAL reason I was 86d is because I went down to the office to ask if I could use their phone since I locked myself out of my apartment & needed to call my roommate to get in. The female at the front desk (RAE) answered rudely NO. I shook my head & left, & I was 86d RIGHT AFTER THAT! And to make matters worse, when I called to notify them the VERY NEXT DAY (after I was harassed & threatened by security) that I was getting my belongings, the female at the front desk (Rae) told me I had to schedule a time the following day. SERIOUSLY?!?! After ALL THE BS they pulled?! I told her I had EVERY RIGHT to get my things & she could call the police if she wanted (but she already knew I was within my rights & just tried to control & prolong the situation for her own benefit). She also told me she had NO IDEA who I was or why I was 86d (FUNNY since shes been the ONLY one Ive spoken with regarding the cracked window incident yet she doesnt know anything???) WHAT A BAD LIAR! Ive spoken with multiple female staff & each one BLAMES the other, tells me to call back to get an answer, hangs up, & LIES cause they have NOTHING on me. Its a shame that adults (especially service professionals) act in such an inexcusable manner. They would not last 5 MINUTES working in an upscale service environment. By the way, I shared this apartment with my roommate and he was NEVER 86d. SO I ASK - WHY WOULD I BE 86d for a broken window & not him as well??? EXACTLY! (Patty, Rae & the black female security guard should not only be reprimanded but also FIRED for their inexcusable & biased actions).

Security makes you feel like youre a prisoner in your own home by watching your every move. I understand why theyre there but I really dont appreciate being told I cant leave my door open or cant have visitors. You know, PRISON RULES. LOL The black female security guard just hangs out with other tenants yelling & laughing all night while were trying to SLEEP. Management & security pays no mind to the ACTUAL ratchets, drug dealers, pan handlers, etc but have petty issues with their PAYING tenants who mind their own business. Patty & Rae are incompetent with no business etiquette. Brendan is awesome & actually has the knowledge, experience & training. WiFi is awful. Musty, dirty carpets cause previous residents smoke in room & management doesnt clean them. INFESTED with cockroaches, yes INFESTED cause we were there 2 months & sprayed numerous times. Outdated apartments in serious need of repair. Lots of holes where bugs get in. Our sink always leaked & flooded they never fixed it. Other residents are rude & start fights with you in the lobby. Coin laundry prices are high. This doesnt even cover half of our complaints! ..Youve been warned!

I only stayed becuase i couldnt afford anything more and was just moving to vegas. I seen a roach in the fridge too. It's disgusting . They blame it on being in an old part of town but it's the lack of maitnence for it get that nasty . Shame on them for even being ok with renting something like this. Most ppl leave after paying for a week. They dont issue refunds so look at a few apartments before you rent and look good. You'll see roaches and bugs crawling up the wall. Just stay away .

They don't have bed bugs, rats, roaches which is a plus. It's in a convenient area with stores, transportation, and Fremont experience right down the street. The staff is careless and unprofessional. They do have some good staff members. They allow only small pets unless you've been living there for years they make an exception for aggressive breeds. People argue and act a fool here in the complex. They have a glass screen door with blinds as the front door. If you're looking for privacy and security this is not the place for you.
