East Park Historic District, comprised of architectural styles from the late 19th and 20th Century Revivals, Late 19th and Early 20th Century American Movements, and include Neoclassical, Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Victorian, American Foursquare, Prairie Style, and bungalow styles, plays a significant roll in community development because of its association with W.C. Cleveland. An early developer and public minded citizen, he bequeathed a large area of land south of the neighborhood for McPherson Park located on the southern boundary of the district. McPherson park provides a buffer between the neighborhood and the downtown Central Business District.
