I'm a current resident. Thus far, I have to say that management and maintenance are better than average, esp. when compared to a number of other places in which we've resided!
My only REAL complaint is, there IS a BED BUG problem at this location. (although it's not as bad as the last place in which we lived.) Granted, Denver CO ranks among the top 10 USA cities in terms of bed bug infestation. I also realize such parasites are difficult to eradicate, largely due to the rate at which they breed.
However, it seems management is in denial of the problem. I've had as many as 115 bites on my body at one time, and I HAVE, unfortunately, dealt with this in the past. They then tell me "Oh, it must be something else"! I say HORSE FEATHERS! I guess it's just pure coincidence that, while I was out of town for 10 days last December, those itchy red welts on my skin vanished, then reappeared within several days upon my return! I DON'T THINK SO!
I take a number of DIY measures, which definitely helps. However, it hasn't gotten rid of the proboscus wielding little BASTARDS. It can be costly, too. For example, many people simply can't just drop $10 to do several loads of laundry on "command"!
While they have a pest control company (or "outfit" rather), they're ineffective (and/or incompetent), because our unit has only been sprayed TWICE, in the year-and-a-half we've been there. They "inspect" our unit sporadically, but because we can't produce a "CAPTURED live sample", they then insist we are "bug free". Folks, I know from past experience that, if you can actually catch a healthy live adult bed bug, you have a REAL problem on your hands!
Personally, I believe the all-too-self-assured, PAINFULLY over-confident "experts" employed by the pest control outfit -which shall remain nameless--couldn't identify a bed bug if their very young lives depended on it.
It's not a bad place to live over all, but it's likely that we'll move once our lease is up, because we can't deal with the bug problem, the leasing office's denial of it, and their refusal to spend the $ to hire a competent pest control company!
