My brother and I lived in Midtown apartments from August 2012 through May 2017. The apartment staff was always friendly and helpful barring one instance where a third party made an error and tried to shift blame elsewhere. I do not blame the apartment for this, I believe it to be an honest mistake. Matched roommates in our experiences could have been better. Non-smokers paired with smokers, messy people matched with neat-freaks, etc. The area inside the fenced off property was usually pretty dirty, people fail to clean up after their dogs, trash is left in the lot/ corridors and is rarely cleaned. The inside of the apartments were great, all problems were fixed quickly when reported PROPERLY. There were no bug problems when the apartment was properly cleaned, some flies and roaches did invade when my roommate left dishes and trash overflow. I feel like if a person keeps the apartment clean and maintained the bug problem is nonexistent. This was a great apartment from my long time there and I would recommend it to other students.

I moved out of midtown a couple of months ago and I thank God that I did. I hear they have new management and I hope there first change was to fire Brent and Selena! They were the absolute worst! This place is infested with fleas and other insects which is why I left. The unit I was in, the previous chick kept pets in the room which left behind fleas! I was bit from head to toe, covered in flea bites and Brent did nothing about it at first! I got my lawyer involved and was able to break my lease! Please please do yourself a favor and stay away from Midtown. Or Midtown905 as they now want to be called. My friend still lives there and absolutely nothing has changed! I know management just changed recently but Im willing to bet money that this place doesnt get any better. The only way to change things here would be to condemn the buildings and start all the way over from scratch!!! Save your money and dont waste time here!!! Dont believe when they say Orkin comes out twice a month because they dont! When I was there I was told they came to spray my apartment one day, I stayed home from work to make sure they came and NO ONE CAME!! Yet when I called the office about it Brent said they did. Unprofessional staff. Just dont move here.

My daughter lived here for one year. It's not the worst, but not the best. There is definitely a bug problem. Even after having the apartment sprayed a few times. The furniture was damaged from the previous tenant owning a pet. Even the bathroom cabinet had a huge chunk of wood missing from who knows what. Cosmetic things arent deal breakers. The problem is that it isnt maintained well. There was a very substantial leak in the kitchen ceiling one day. It took a while for maintenance to take care of it. There is just an overall dirty, dingy feel to the whole complex- stairwells are filthy and stained. Basically just rundown. The staff is pretty friendly, but inexperienced. We were often given conflicting information. if you need to sublease your apartment mid-year or at the end of the school year, the apartment complex staff will NOT help you. They are never at full capacity so they won't tell anyone your room is available until all their units are rented which is never because they cant lease out all theirs. Just speaking from our experience- I probably would not recommend. She lived at Gateway for a year as well and never saw one bug. Its older and not updated , but seems to be overall cleaner. This was a couple years ago. Not sure how it is now. And just FYI for anyone that has never lived in off campus apartments you are literally dealing with very young college students. Thats who these places employ. My advice is to always talk to the manager to get accurate information.

Had a number of phone conversations with the management staff here and they seem friendly. Its definitely in a good location. However, I decided to stay at Gateway at Denton where I'm actually subletting my apartment out there . They sit across the street from each other, and if you're looking for a place to say Id honestly have to say check out Gateway, they definitely take care of things.

I wouldnt even give it one star honestly. This is no ordinary apartments. We have strangers who lived there before us come in one day. They dont change the locks or anything. Anyways, First of all, all guest must park in the guess parking. Not just that, you must sign them in to an app to make sure they dont get towed. Also, there is limited guess parking slots and if there is no more left you are out of luck. Most units with pets will have fleas. We moved in back in August and we came in to a flea fest. They were everywhere and they were biting me and my roommates. We called the office and told them right away and the manager wanted us to wait till the first of September to get a pesticide team down to do all the units that were affect. Rather him handling it like a priority he told us to wait. Which of course was not acceptable. Half of the machines in the gym dont work. So there is no point in even having a gym. The day we moved in there was workers cleaning the apartment and painting still. Out unit was not ready on move in day. The painters got paint on the chairs as well. This place is a hot mess. Also, the gate is 80% broken. Look, we didnt believe all the reviews and thought that it was just people being annoying but no. These apartments suck!!!!!!!!
