Absolutely worst place to live. I've had an insane amount of problems here. Some of them include: major bug issues when we moved in and they wouldn't do anything to fix it, maintenance men coming in and out as they please, maintenance men saying they completed service requests that they never did, horrible employees that couldn't care less about you, mold in the apartment from the person's dishwasher above us leaking and they won't do anything about it, having a roommate physically threaten me of which i got on video and they refused to do anything about it and said it's in their lease that they never have to do anything about threats and physical contact between roommates, etc. I literally could go on forever about how horrible this place is.

IF YOU ARE A PARENT WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR STUDENTS SAFETY OR YOUR OWN SAFETY READ THIS REVIEW. This is a review from a 5 year veteran that is now going to Coastal Carolina University, I had better/safer/cleaner living conditions on Camp Lejeune. Seeing Coastal club advertising themselves on campus to get people to sign leases, I figured this was the most appropriate time to write this review. AVOID living here if you can. This upcoming year presents more options for living with a couple new housing complexes being built. Unless you want to live somewhere that has dog poop in the walk ways, including between rooms TRASH EVERYWHERE stinking up the walk ways. I’ve even seen condoms, syringes and broken glass everywhere. Also having the possibly of having to live with someone who hotboxes your entire apartment with weed and blast music throughout all times of the day. Here’s also the catch to that. They WILL NOT do anything to help resolve ANY roomate problems. You are stuck with what your stuck with. When I moved into my room there were Henny bottles littering the room, reeked of marijuana and a drug paraphernalia on the coffee table and cockroach’s in the dishwasher with standing water and dirty dishes and dead roaches throughout the cabinets. After moving in I removed 9 large garbage bags from my room. The one roomate who was already living there was NOT evicted even though he breached the lease. Spend the extra money if you can live somewhere else for your safety and studies, you should be able to study in the room you pay 650+ a month to live in not feel like you need to walk 15mins to the library.

Giving a one star seems like a bit of a stretch anyways. The only redeeming quality about this place is that it's walking distance to campus. Otherwise every single aspect is negative. Constantly garbage around the property, broken glass everywhere. Things constantly break in the apartment and maintenance will do the bare minimum. My air conditioner had to be fixed 9 times. In addition the staff is wholly rude and disrespectful. If they don't like you they'll complain about you to friends. Did I mention the trash? It's everywhere. This is a no go for living option.

The good: The people at the desk in the club house are helpful, knowledgeable, and super friendly! The actual units/appliances are nice too. Walking distance to campus can't be beat. Cameras give a sense of security. Also they're pet friendly which is cool.
The bad: Parking is ridiculous, if you show up anytime after like 8pm expect to park in the Monarch guest parking lot. There is trash all over the property, especially in the little ditch along the edge of the property. When I first moved in there was vomit on the steps for probably 2 months before anybody did anything about it. Maintence is completely useless, my roommates and I have not had use of our washer since January-as I'm writing this there is water all over the floor because it exploded out of nowhere. Leaking from the third floor down to the first. We put in maintenance request after maintenance request-NOTHING was fixed. Or it would work once and then just completely quit. THEN we got a $245 "service charge" for them supposedly "fixing" the washer. Wifi is hit or miss, either it works or it doesn't. Sometimes the dumpster by the clubhouse is so full with trash that it's literally just piled up around it shoulder high and crawling with bugs. The gym is 24 hours which is convenient, but it's constantly in a state of complete disarray. And rarely, very very rarely, is there disinfectant spray to clean the equipment off after use. Or, if there is spray (10% of the time max.) there won't be any paper towels. Tanning beds are included and they do work, but they're SO filthy and half the light bulbs are out. You're supposed to have paper towels and disinfectant spray to wipe the beds down after you tan, but there's almost never, I'd say maybe a quarter of the time, is there ever any spray. Oh, also they'll blow up your email asking you to leave a coastal club review.
In short, Coastal Club is a great place to live if you're a college student. Rooms are nice, staff is friendly, pet friendly policies. Just don't be surprised if something goes wrong with one of your appliances and they just look at you like "oh well".
Coastal club is a very friendly place to live with great apartment setups and features including the pool, gym, and games at a convienant location.

Horrible service and leasing process. The people at the desk have no clue how to operate a lease. Very unhelpful. Told me they will call back and failed to do so 4 times. Clearly nobody at the establish is focused on doing any work what so ever.
I love living here! By far the best place to live at Coastal Carolina university, a little pricey but you pay for what you get in my book!

Definitely a great environment to live in! We lucked out and got neighbors who are reasonable with noise and such. Only issues I have are the lack of trash cans around the property leading to trash being on the ground (which is not necessarily their fault, but more trash cans could avoid this) and the lack of parking, definitely need more spots towards the front buildings and for visitors! I would recommend coastal club to people looking to live off campus!

I just wish that there were more places to throw trash away other than the 1 dumpster thats far from my building. Adding another one towards the back or trashcans outside our building would be nice and probably reduce the amount or trash outside. Other than that I would recommend this place for anybody.

My roommates and I have lived in Coastal Club for a couple months now and we have had little to no problems. They apartments are clean and look like new when you move in. Maintenance could be taken more seriously because we have had to wait for things like a new dining room chair and ice maker since move in week and it hasn't happened yet. Other than that staff is very friendly and helpful.
