Kelly's ridge has really gone downhill since my family first moved in a few years ago. They used to be one of the best places to live in COMO but have recently let the place go. For example, you can't drive through the parking lot without hitting countless potholes, and a tree that split in half after an ice storm 3 months ago, is still left laying on the ground. They have nice gym facilities but do not properly heat them on the weekends. I can't count the number of times I've gone to work out and have had to leave early because I couldn't stand the 50-degree temperature they were keeping the gym at. In addition, they don't take the time to empty the trash or replace toilet paper in the clubhouse. There was one point when a toilet seat had feces on it for almost three weeks before it was cleaned. Apparently, the staff used the other two toilets instead of taking time to simply clean the bathroom. There's also been a lot of theft from cars in the parking lot—making me feel unsafe. I believe current and potential residents are starting to realize the poor management of the apartment, as Kelly's Ridge has been having a lot harder time filling the vacant apartments and have had to turn to bribing residents with incentives to leave positive reviews on websites. They recently started offering restaurant gift cards to residents who leave positive reviews, and when I saw all of the positive reviews suddenly being left, I felt that I needed to do my part to voice how things really are. I'd rather provide the truth to future residents than lie just to receive a gif tcard. Of course, there are worse places to live in COMO, but there are also a lot of better options. Check out ALL of your options before resorting to Kelly's Ridge. I'm excited for my lease to be up so I can move on.

When I first moved in, the tenants were mostly young professionals and retirees. Grounds were well-kept. Now, there seems to be a lot more riff-raff. Pool overcrowded with younger adults drinking alcohol and using profanity. Cigarette butts on ground. Noisy neighbors. Rent has increase each year, most recently by $50.00. Pool was closed for the first 3-4 weeks of summer last year. Poor, cheap construction. Sky high utilities. No longer worth the rent.

I'm coming up on 2-years at Kelly's Ridge and these are truly the best apartments I've lived in. Within the last year, they completed some large projects that completely updated their gym (I'm pretty sure the equipment was brand new AND it's legitimate gym equipment); renovated the actual pool and added new furniture; and updated their online system to a modern way of paying rent and submitting maintenance requests. I've never had issues with noise from my neighbors. Where my building is located, I never have issues with parking. Landscaping is always nice. Maintenance is super quick and friendly. Leasing staff is all very nice and they do a lot of get-togethers throughout the year for K.R. residents. If I had to say something negative -- One thing about my particular apartment that I am not a fan of is how my master bedroom and closet are always significantly hotter or cooler than the rest of the apartment. I don't mind it in the winter because I like the cooler temp. but in the summer I have to turn down my AC quite a bit because of it ($$). Not sure if it's an insulation problem? Overall, though, I'm very happy with my choice and I would live at KR again. The updates they've made within the last year have really given them a competitive advantage over other properties in town.

My husband and I lived there for three years and in that amount of time we had multiple mold issues, that we had to continuously place work orders on. These are poorly constructed apartments, after a rain storm the inside of our windows would be covered in water because the windows are not properly sealed. I rented out the club house for my bridal shower, and the day of the shower no one had unlocked the club house for us to use it. I called the office number, maintenance number, and emergency number multiple times hours before the shower was to start and left messages. We ended up having to squeeze 35 guest in our apartment. They did not even show up to unlock the clubhouse until the shower was over and guest had started leaving. Do not rely on them to handle any emergencies in a timely manner. Most unprofessional place I have ever rented from. Also do not expect to get your deposit back, they will come up with every excuse in the book to keep it or charge you more.
