I knew that things were going to be bad when I did my apartment tour and a cockroach was laying in the sink. Janet didn’t seemed to be unfazed by the bugs as if she had seen them before. I lived in Courtyard for about a year, and after living in other apartments in Columbia this was by far the worst. The entire place is outdated, and EVERYTHING is cheap and falling apart. Almost every single day I would wake up to bugs crawling on the walls. I couldn’t even sleep well, and it psychological messed me up because as a college student I just can’t up and leave and pay a huge few. I officially moved out of this h3ll hole this weekend and was footed with a bill of $700+ for not sending a 60 day notice. Which was surprising to Me, because they said since April that they left notices on my door I NEVER GOT THEM. I have no reason to lie and my roommate never say them either. I went to the office daily, and quite frequently got asked if I was renewing my lease and I told them no. They never gave me notices about my 60 day no matter what they THINK they did. Since I verbally told them several times I wasn’t renewing they never said back to Me that I needed to write it, it almost was if they wanted me to not do that so I could pay $700+ bill. Once I gave them my keys, and they inspected the place the guy said the carpet wasn’t clean (IT LOOKED EXACTLY HOW IT WAS WHEN WE GOT THERE), and the oven was “dirty” (IT LOOKED LIKE A NORMAL OVEN). He told Me that they were taking $60 out of my deposit because of that but honestly on my grandfathers grave it looked normal, and I am not a dirty person. If you want to be disrespected, feel unwell due to numerous bug issues and pay numerous fees be my guest and sign a lease at Courtyard Apartments!

I have really enjoyed living here the pass 2 years.. I enjoy being able to walk to Michael's, gerbes, customs, and shelter gardens. The one bedroom apartments are nice for one person. Not to big. Not to small. A bit outdated but never had an issue with it. Now the reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I have had issues with a few people I have lived around. When I first moved here I moved into a second floor apartment and had issues with the person below me smoking inside to where the smoke was coming into my apartment and making everything smell also with them blasting music in the living room below mine at the time making it hard to relax and watch movies or shows in my living room at 10 or 11 at night. Now they did take care of the smoking problem. But the music I feel they really didn't. I was told to talk to the person myself. Now I moved to a ground floor apartment June 2017 because of health problems. Well this person who lives above me I've been having issues with a few weeks after I moved in. I haven't really complained because this person is the type to still do it after being told. In June I will be moving out completely from the complex because I am moving out of town. Over all the staff is friendly and helpful.

I signed Lease with them for my friend and his wife as guarantor when they moved to missouri. and at the time i signed the lease they were have a special move with $40 discount so I signed and paid the deposit and they said everything was good but we just need them to sign the other part of the contract as Residents. And then i Surprised that they let them sing another contract with out the discount and when I ask them for the paper that I signed it simply they said we cant find it. I cant believe How they playing such as this game just to save $40 WOW
Plus there was a lot of issues with appartment and late responding

My husband and I have lived here for over a year and we just recently re-signed our lease. I can't say enough how much we like it here. The apartment is nice and they keep up with checking air filters and smoke detectors. The maintenance men will be there the same day you call for an issue and they are always friendly. They keep the outside very nice as well. The office staff are great! We had an apartment lined up through a different company when we moved here and when we showed up, it was disgusting. We had our Uhaul and everything here and couldn't move back so we were in a panic to find an apartment. We drove over to Courtyard apartments and the staff were able to get us approved and moved in on the same day! Definitely recommend living here!

The apartments are very dated, and small. Rent has to be paid online and they charge you an extra $25 to use your debit card. No matter what your move in date is you rent is due by the first and if you're late sending it to the charge $125 late fee. In my opinion these apartments are not worth the price they see charging for them. Also if you decide to move at the end of your lease and they don't like you, you will not be able to move into any of the other Mills properties which is just about every apartment complex in town. Would've be a much nicer experience had they not run the complex like some corporate business

I moved into Courtyard apartments from Columbus, Ohio. I have to tell you that my whole process of moving in was a dream come true. Kelli was very helpful with the whole process as I was doing everything before I moved to Columbia. She really put my mind at ease.
I moved in in May of 2016 and upon my arrival I had a major maintenance issue. Gas smell in my apartment. Kelli and the maintenance staff diligently worked past closing time to not only fix the problem but replace my stove as it was causing the problem. I had a few minor maintenance issues in the first couple of months and maintenance was always there within 24 hours to fix the problem.
I had to break my lease after 4 months being there due to some family issues back in Columbus and Kelli and Janet were really helpful with the whole process.
I had zero problems getting my deposit back. I was told that it could take up to 30 days to receive it and to my surprise It only took 2 weeks. I received my full deposit back.
I do not know who these people that gave this place negative reviews are but I just wanted to say that I experienced none of the problems that were on here.
I felt very safe living here and the staff were always super friendly and professional. I would recommend Courtyard apartments to anyone that in interested in living there.

Terrible office and maintenance staff. My ceiling was leaking for over a year and the air conditioning repeatedly failed. The ceiling leak caused over $700 worth of damage to my belongings which they didn't reimburse. They also left buckets of filthy brown water from the leak pooling in buckets for over a week causing breathing problems for me. STAY AWAY!
The staff is not helpful, I recommend for every one to not move to courtyard apartments. Thank you.

As far as apartments go, this is a great place to live. The staff is very nice, very friendly. I moved in around December and management walked me to every apartment I wanted see even though it was freezing. They worked around my schedule and gave me any discounts/specials they were running at the time even though I didn't know about them.
The apartments are carpeted except for the kitchen and bathroom. They were very clean. The carpets weren't stained the walls looked clean. It was very nice. I have other friends who live in the two-bedroom apartments and the upkeep was the same. The two-bedrooms are pretty spacious.
My neighbor had asked me to have maintenance oil my door (she asked very nicely) because the sounds would make her dog bark. I was happy to do it. I left a voicemail with the office and they took care of the problem while I was at work. I've never felt like anything shady would happen. I came back and none of my things had been touched. There was a note in the door saying they'd oiled the hinges and the door is completely silent. I see the maintenance around all the time working on something.
The only thing that could be a "downside" is that the dishwasher was calciumed over. Columbia has hardwater. I don't use the dishwasher anyway and so didn't really care.
I pay $530/month and utilities and gas definitely reflect your use. In the winter, my gas bill could be from $70-$90 and my utilities would be about $70. This summer my gas bill has been $30-$50 and my utilities have been about $50.
I'm moving to Salt Lake City and can only hope to find apartments with such attentive staff. I find these Google reviews super helpful and so thought I'd leave one here.
