My experience living here for 4 years has been amazing and I love it! I have an amazing view of the bay, its quiet and my neighbors are wonderful. Management has always taken good care of our home, amenities and exteriors, if we ever need something fixed, we just submit a request through the app and they take care of it promptly. And if you ever need help, or have an issue, you just talk to the manager or front desk and they're super friendly and helpful. I've created a great community of friends here and I'm proud to call this my home.

I can say Jett was the best of the best leasing agent Ive ever met. To find a rental place, Ive checked almost 30 properties for one month. He was the only agent who constantly check with me my status with nice wording. Thanks to his great attitude and communication, I was satisfied with South Shore Alameda. Also, it was located in a safe and nice place. The property status was great as well. Although I signed my place near my boss house, I would highly recommend this place and the leasing agent. Thank you! :)

Southshore gets five starts because of the front-desk superstar John. Throughout my time at Southshore John was above and beyond helpful and friendly whenever I needed something even at times it was a one-man show with only him in the office. I moved last week and the process would have been immensely more difficult without his help. Truly someone who treats your concerns as his own - thanks John!!

I have lived here for 2 years and have mostly been satisfied, but lately there have been a lot of issues which have caused concern and frustration for myself and clearly other tennents.
For example, my current neighbors play music with bass so high it shakes my wall. Ive messaged the leasing office several time regarding this issue and it continues. Seriously, this is a familyesque apartment community, not a college row party complex. Unless Alameda is the new hub of trance music and I missed the memo, its not a good look for South Shore.
You can see other reviews regarding the construction that has occurred for over a year. The place will probably look awesome in 2023, but at the cost of everybody living here now.
If you do decide to rent here I would take a walk through the community at night as Ive heard some buildings are more unsavory than others. Additionally, Id avoid living in an interior facing apartment. It gets extremely hot in the summer and there is no breeze.
I will say the maintenance crew is amazing and I really appreciate them. Clearly, the location is a huge selling point.There are also some nice people that live here and cute dogs.The next months will determine if I stay or go.

I just moved into South Shore and am new to California. My apartment is overlooking Crown Beach and the SF Bay. I live in the renovated building which includes washer dryer and stainless steel appliances, the carpet in my home is nice and I don't hear noise from my neighbors. In the couple months I've been here the staff has hosted events that have been awesome, well planned, and fun. The community is close to Park street which has good restaurants.
The few times I've had a service request it has been resolved in just a day or two, the service team goes above and beyond. The service team is out there 7 days a week meeting everyone's demands and often cleans up after the people who live here. Kuddos to them!

Great service. The frond desk staff is very friendly and available 9-6 every day including weekends. Repair requests are address same day or the next day. Smoke-free policy is enforced well: after I complained, I got calls and messages informing me about their next steps and in 2-3 days the issue is resolved without any confrontation. Packages are handled with a good notification system with no or very short delay.
Facilities are awesome too. Nice gym and pools that are always under utilized. Gym equipment are frequently checked (I often see the mechanic check the gym in the morning). Beautifully arranged plants and fountains for public outdoor space. Of course the best facility is the beach and sea right downstairs maintained as a state park.
