Reading the reviews of this place after I moved in and have lived here for months makes me confused about what I found... This staff is the best staff and they make everything feel great! I feel safe, I never get woken up by neighbors, and there aren't any students that party here? I moved here in May and the students who The Edge was polite enough to accommodate were leaving as I was moving in, I haven't heard anything about them since then...When Chandler was here, he took pride in making sure we were "all happy, always" and since he left, nothing has changed with the new staff! I mean, I have seen a little bit of a younger crowd (mid to late 20's), but they're always polite and really keep to theirselves.. The resident events, the way the buildings look, and the amenities really set this place apart from other places here in Winston. I'm extremely pleased that I made the decision to live at The Edge!!!!! I recommend this property to ANYONE looking!

UPDATED: Nice amenities and close proximity to Wake Forest Hospital. We got off to a somewhat rough start but since new management took over in October 2016, I have noticed improvements. The students have been for the most part respectful neighbours, and the noise problems on the weekends have not been an issue anymore. A courtesy officer has moved in -- this is a Winston-Salem police officer who I have been told by the new management helps with checking around the property, though no issues have come up so far. He's friendly, and I'm sure that the fact that his squad car is visible in the outdoor parking lot is a good deterrent. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Furthermore, for those who were upset by the issues with the students early on, I heard from the new building management that this was a pilot program agreed to by previous management, that will be ending at the end of the 2017 school year -- that the building that has been occupied by students will no longer be used for student housing. Overall this is a nice, convenient place to live, especially if you work at the hospital across the street.

Nice amenities and close proximity to Wake Forest Hospital. However, a few months after I moved in the management announced that the building I had moved into would be rented out as a student dormitory. They offered to move me to the other building, and I am glad I did. The students have been for the most part respectful neighbours, however there have been a few incidents late at night where cars have sped loudly through the parking lot -- one time after a loud argument (which woke me up in the middle of the night, while inside a upper floor apartment in student-free building -- I watched and thought about calling the police for fear of the safety of one of the participants in the argument, but they sped off). I think it has gotten a bit better since a police officer moved in and started parking his squad car right by the entrance to the building, though I don't think this should be necessary to have people behave respectfully. Furthermore, I often see cars waiting by the gate to be let in that follow tenants in, defeating the purpose of a gated community... I recognize that students will want to have visitors at what is arguably the most luxurious dormitory in town, but for security's sake there is a call box that visitors are supposed to use to call their friends to be let in, instead of following others in. I wonder how many people are coming by just to use the amenities (like the pool) that the rest of us pay for. Overall it has been a mixed experience - day to day living here has been good, but it certainly isn't the "luxury apartment" experience I paid for.
