Moved here last year was told no water or trash bill.
Now they have metered all the homes and now paying water and trash. It is nice and quiet. But with a big corporation taking over the park everything is being handed down to home owners. Curbs need to be repaired. Feel bad for all the retired folks that live here as they are on a fixed income and now having to pay more per month now, as if things aren't already tough for people.

South Village was a comfortable, affordable privately owned trailer park until it was bought out by M. Shapiro, a big property management corporation a little over a year ago. The first thing they did was jack everyone's rent by 15% or more. Many of us that live here have limited means and when we moved here we were promised no water, sewer or trash bill So now as a way to grab more income, they are going to add this to our monthly cost of living here. It's a decent place but the affordability isn't there any more. Keep in mind, we are only renting a small patch of ground to park the trailer on. It is supposed to be all owner occupied homes (no rentals) which we think improves the quality of our neighborhoods, but we suspect M. Shapiro may be doing their own rentals (they are moving a lot of old trailers in) I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a new home because It seems you can't count on the rent being stable, this all about making lots money now.

Just went to visit my mom. But South Village is always well kept and clean. It is now a corporate owned complex First they raised the lot rent $55.00 per month. Now they're installing water meters!! So now they're going to start charging for water as well? Do you realize how many mobile home lots are in this complex? X $55 per month? A lot of people are on fixed incomes there.
Was a nice place when the old owners ran it. Its gone downhill since it was bought out about a year ago.
