After several disappointing experiences with other apartment options, I was fortunate enough to contact Jake's Place and "meet" Brittany. She immediately impressed me with her positive and "can-do" attitude. The process under her guise was smooth and stress-free even remotely from CT. I can't thank her enough for professionalism and guidance!

Staff is friendly but let me say MOLD MOLD MOLD. Water leaks galore. Have had two water leaks. Both I had to complain about several times and the wall and ceiling were not properly dried. Maintenance staff is stretched thin and the apartment was extremely dirty and had water damage upon move in. Also my electric bill runs $130 a month AND you have to setup your own utilities and pay a $240 deposit to Tallahassee utilities. If it wasn't for the friendly staff Jakes Place would get 1 star.

Maintenance (and the staff) is very good at responding to maintenance requests. The staff is friendly- especially the manager Ashton (she's amazing!). Jake's Place has been very diligent at resolving any issues I have run into and I have resigned for next year. It is very convenient being so close to campus, so it makes it easier for someone like me to manage school and working almost full time. The one-one is quite spacious- I still have plenty of room in the bedroom with a king size bed in there. Highly recommend!

Ashley the property manager is so nice and really listens to your concerns and makes sure things will get done. The apartment itself is so great for the price and location. And TWO walk in closets. Best decision I made was to live there

I have absolutely LOVED living at Jake's Place! They are the perfect, affordable one bedroom apartments for any college student. The location is perfect and it takes me no time to get to class, the student union, or football games in the fall! The manager, Ashley, is very efficient, friendly, and was very helpful answering any questions I had when I was signing my lease.
Terrible. Over the past two years we have had to deal with 4 major water leaks from the ceiling along with countless minor ones....
Terrible. Over the past two years we have had to deal with 4 major water leaks from the ceiling along with countless minor ones. We are waging a constant war against mold. The walls have to be wiped down weekly especially, in the winter, and management's "solution" was to give us a dehumidifier that costs us $80 a month in electricity to run and makes little difference, the humidity still remains high. Speaking of electricity, the utility bill is inexplicably expensive. Taking the dehumidifier into account, the bill is significantly higher than my old place, which was larger, a 2/2, and less than a block down the street. On top of all this, management has always been slow to respond to our complaints, it took us months to get a broken washer and dryer replaced.
