Like this apartment will probably cause you to have high blood pressure by the time you move out like if you're looking for something go somewhere else! I actually sublease the current apartment I'm in and i didn't know how horrible it was till i lived there. Management is horrible, idk if it was just me they treated like a stranger every time i walk in the office they look at me strange and when i ask questions it seem they never know the answer and have to go ask someone like i be so confused, on top of that they sold my space before i even had a chance to renew ... when i ask about renewal they told me there was nothing available as if I'm not currently living there... oh and there's the laundry stuff... i mean they already over charging went and they want you to pay $2 per loads from machines that's constantly broken and doesn't wash clothes well at all... check your bank statements and see how the laundry take out more than needed like they money hungry and disrespectful... i called about the laundry being broken and both offices telling me to call one another. I mean they just don't care about nothing but sucking the money out of college students. Just greedy and spiteful best to describe them!

Living here has literally been a nightmare. This apartment is the source of 90% of my stress in college so far. Every time I turn around there is another horrific maintenance issue because everything is so old. While maintenance has been better, we have had unimaginable situations occur in our apartment. During finals week, a plumbing issue was causing a leak in our kitchen and when I called emergency maintenance they insisted that the problem could wait until normal business hours. When someone arrived to fix the problem they made it worse and flooded the kitchen, with dirty sink water going into the drawers and cabinets and all over the carpet in the dining room. They immediately cleaned the water off of the tile floor but made no effort to clean the water from anywhere else. I had to speak to someone in the office almost everyday to make sure they fixed the issue of the wet carpet. Even then, the carpet wasnt fixed for over a week and the smell in the entire apartment was horrendous since it was dirty sink water just sitting in the carpet. The maintenance staff never made any attempt to clean the water from the drawers or cabinets and I spent hours and hours cleaning and sanitizing everything that had gotten wet with the dirty water. Also, there have been two instances of water leaking from the bathroom above mine into my bathroom. While the residents above me are to blame for this issue since they are overflowing their toilet and causing this problem, it is still disgusting that there is toilet water leaking into my bathroom. Even when maintenance does fix a problem, they do not offer to clean up whatsoever, so then you are forced to spend time cleaning someone elses toilet water off of your bathroom floor. I understand that the maintenance staff is not a cleaning crew, but even after I have expressed how unhappy I was with a situation to the front office staff, the most they are willing to do is just say sorry. We also had to be ridiculously persistent for them to replace the thermostat since the one in our unit was probably from the 1980s. They didnt replace it until our parents called, which shouldnt have been the case. The only good thing about this apartment is the location. I currently live in a 4/2 and there are only 2 of us that live here because the others have moved out (which is great for us but goes to show you how unhappy people are living here). It is very cheap, but if I knew the Hell I would be going through I would have never signed here, no matter how cheap it is. Whatever you do, do not live here.

The apartments are basically on campus so the walk isn't far at all, but there is still the option to ride the bus. The office staff are nice and very helpful with any questions you have. Gym, study rooms, printing all for our access which is lovely. They put together fun social events that they hold for the residents! Good place to live your college years at!

While living at University Village, I have enjoyed how close the walk is to campus. Also, the bus stop is right if front of my complex, so the bus routes are very accessible to all the residents. The staff is very nice and always willing to help. The events hosted at the clubhouse are thoughtful and fun to attend. The 24 hour gym and study rooms are great during late nights. This complex offers free printing as well. I also enjoy how spacious the apartment itself is, my roommates and I are all very comfortable with the space we are given.

I've had nothing but a good experience at the Village property- maintenance is helpful and comes in a decently-timed manner, and the office does a good job when it comes to cleaning the rooms before you move in/when it comes to you having any questions regarding rent or utility payments. They can take you step by step with setting up accounts. Rent is great considering you're only a 10 min walk to campus (in one direction) and the stadium (other direction), as well as your location to great food spots. The office does a great job of notifying you when any events are happening on property, and if you have any outstanding balances or packages to pick up. Free printing/computer use/decent gym 24 hours is a great bonus!! One downside is that the pool isn't located in a spot with good sunlight and the visitor parking is pretty limited, but those are only minor inconveniences. Absolutely no bug problem if you clean up after yourself, and the office also helps you out by using preventative measures before there is even a bug problem. Pretty small/cozy spaces so you would want to room with people you don't mind being around all the time. Overall, definitely glad I chose this apartment to live in during my college years!

I've heard a lot of negative reviews about University Village that made me skeptical to sign up, but my experience here has prompted me to renew my lease. The main complaint that I have towards UV is maintenance. There were a lot of small things wrong with our apartment when we first moved in like a broken microwave, faulty garbage disposal, closet doors not secured right, etc. They were quick to act on most of the imperfections, although we still have some original problems still waiting to be fixed. Other than that, the price is unbeatable for the perks it brings like being walking distance to campus and having a bus stop. It's fully furnished and the setup is nice. The staff is always friendly, charismatic, and eager to help. They have a couple of events each month that include food or seasonal activities. My roommates and I find it to be the best, most convenient place to live, so we've all renewed our leases for the following year.

Really affordable place, everything is clean and the staff are nice. I got matched with super cool roommates and think the place is conveniently close to everything. Some issues with poor communication, like random water shut off for maintenance with no notification to the residents. And unfortunately the towing system they use sucks! I got towed even when I had a permit because I had an expired tag, which isn't fair.

My experience at University Villages, more specifically University Pavilion, has been very positive. While I will admit that there have been a few maintenance issues, it only takes a quick call to the front office to get the issue resolved. The people at the office have always been extremely nice, understanding and friendly. All issues are resolved within 24 hours. The apartment is minutes from campus, food places and the front office. Not to mention the amazing price. What else could you ask for?

Overall great experience living here. Been here almost a year and have had no real major issues. Front office staff is incredibly nice and very helpful. Apartments were not perfect when my roommates and I moved in- I had a smashed window and there were some other issues like a broken door knob. That being said, all issues were fixed within a week which was appreciated. Maintenance is friendly, but can leave a bit to be desired sometimes (our dishwasher still leaks after two maintenance visits.) Really excellent value for the space, location, and free printing. Definitely would recommend.

University Village made finding safe, quality, affordable, and close housing possible right away. I am so grateful to the wonderful staff they have (Marissa, Justin, and manager Craig have always been so professional, responsive, receptive, friendly, and helpful - the day I signed my lease, Marissa stayed late to make sure that everything was in order, which I appreciated so much as I had had an incredibly long day looking for housing). Honestly, if you need a place close to campus where you can feel safe, sign with University Village. They helped me make sure I was in an apartment that did not have pets (though they are a pet friendly location) and provide roommate matching (this does not guarantee you a perfect match, but, in my case, I got two very clean, respectful and responsible roommates, which works out great - I don't have to worry about my stuff being touched or taken or living with unorganized people). I appreciate the concern to detail that Savannah, Leasing Coordinator, provided to accommodate me in a pet-free apartment (perfect for me, because of my allergies). I also really, REALLY love that all of the units come with their own full-sized washer and dryer and fully furnished- I won't be in Tallahassee long and the provided furniture helped me make an easy transition into the City. I like also that University Village offers pest control; you just sign up on the list if you need it and they come on Thursdays. They leave a pink slip on your counter to let you know they have come by. This was helpful because, living on a first floor, I have seen 2 cockroaches during my Fall semester. Because we requested it, the complex helped us ward off any more pests by re-caulking our front door to make sure it was airtight and no bugs could get through. I have since not seen any roaches - our apartment stays clean and bug free (perfect for me, because I am most scared of cockroaches than anything else). Utilities in the City can be expensive, but I appreciate that, though it took our insistence, the front office updated, for free, our thermostat for a new digital one. This was fantastic to help us save on money because we are aware exactly of the temperature. Staff are very and quickly responsive to other, more common requests, including turning off our water heater to save us money while we were away for holidays and providing complimentary carpet deep cleaning given an early move-in during the fall. I have never been charged out of the blue for anything and the front office always receives and deposits my checks the first time they get them. They also are always responsive whenever I call; someone is always on staff with a friendly, professional, and respectful tone. Lastly, what I pay for rent, which includes water, sewer, cable, and internet, is exactly what I was told I would have to pay. The building is right in front of the FSU bus stop and parking is available for you as a resident, after you purchase the decal. They also have a pool and 24/7 complimentary gym and computer room, with free printing (bring your own paper). The reason I did not give University Village a full 5 stars is because of some issues with Maintenance. Maintenance does a great job of responding quickly (within 1 day) to emergency issues; however, as a resident, you need to insist to front of office staff for Maintenance to contact you before coming into your apartment. If not, I have had maintenance stopping by unannounced and attempting to open my front door. This has improved alot since I have arrived (they have notified me and have also asked when is the best time for them to come by), but as a resident, you still have assert this with front office staff to ensure you are notified before they go to your unit. The other concern related to maintenance is that our dishwasher works, but, has twice gotten clogged and backed up with water (I do all my dishes by hand anyway, so this has not been a huge concern for me); the good thing is that University Village sent maintenance right away to fix the clog and clean up spills, which I appreciate.

This complex offers the worst living experience possible. The maintenance team is miserable, the units are disgusting, management is unhelpful, and all they care about is the rent check you are giving them on a monthly basis. The internal mechanism on my toilet has broken and been replaced three times in one year. For one emergency maintenance leak, placed at 4 P.M., a maintenance team member did not arrive at my apartment until 11 P.M that evening, dressed in plain clothes, no uniform, no name tag, and no tools to fix the leak. Upon refusing his entry to my apartment due to his unprofessionalism, he acted aggressively before leaving my complex. For another emergency maintenance request, I received a phone call about two hours after the emergency was reported, during which I was promptly hung up on after describing the issue, and no one ever came to fix the issue. Maintenance aside, my apartment was filthy and moldy upon move-in, despite the fact that I paid extra to move in early to a cleaned unit. They painted over the mold and steamed my carpets as a compromise for the horrible state of the unit. When I inquired about being reassigned to a unit that was not horribly filthy, they told me that none were available, however they would be happy to charge me a $250 relet fee with no guarantee of finding a reletter. Further, when one of my roommates left the apartment for months at a time, he allowed guests to use his keys to stay in his room, coming in at all hours of the night, speaking essentially no English to communicate who they are or why they have keys to my apartment. When I brought this concern to management, it took four formal complaints to illicit any involvement other than a copy and paste letter. I was told that he would likely be evicted for being non-compliant with the lease. That was two months ago, and the issue has not been remedied. Upon bringing these complaints to the general manager of the complex, I received no response for well over a week. The only response that I did receive was a "We hope your fall semester is off to a good start" automated response, only a couple weeks before the end of the fall semester. This complex is a horrible excuse for a living drain on my bank account. Despite the terrible move-in conditions, repeated terrible experiences with maintenance, and a non-compliant roommate that they refuse to do anything about, they had the audacity to raise my rent, as if they were introducing some extra amenities, or were improving my living conditions. If you live at University Village, you will be charged rent for an average apartment complex, however you will receive nothing but horrible customer service, terrible maintenance, a moldy unit, and by the count of the emails I have received about car break-ins, terrible security. The only redeeming quality about this complex is that the student staff actually try. They are nice, knowledgeable, and at least seem like they care about your well-being. Management, however is miserable, and no one should live here if they have any other options.

Living at this complex wasn't bad at all. I actually really enjoyed my time outside of some maintenance issues. However, the moving out process involving ending payments was chaotic. They charged me a month more than they were supposed to, failed to refund me until the last second, and then were ready to charge me again. Their payment system doesn't appear overly complicated, so I can't imagine an excuse for this. I lost money trying to get this terrible company to stop charging me when I never renewed my lease. Shameful.

I am so beyond livid with University Village. I signed my lease and specifically requested to be sharing a bathroom with my friend, the leasing office specifically told me what to write on the roommate form. Once I got our roommate info I am on the opposite side of her when the apartment is empty and only one person is currently living there. I explained to the leasing agent I don't feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with someone random and apparently what I say does not matter. Toward the end of the phone call she was extremely rude and did nothing to help the situation. It was a "mistake" that should not have been looked over and being rude to someone who is PAYING YOU? Even WORSE. Out of all places this is the biggest regret of signing a lease. UNHELPFUL STAFF DO NOT LEASE WITH UNIVERSITY VILLAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not live here. I am currently living in the village and my AC has been out for 2 days with no one showing up to fix it despite numerous phone calls to the office. This is just the latest of a line of issues I have had with this place mostly stemming from staff not doing their jobs.

The only thing that's good about this complex is the location, at The Oaks. Other than that, you're paying almost $500 a month for infestations, poorly maintained units, community washer & dryer, and being isolated away from the main complex. This complex is different from the other two complexes and does not look like what is advertised. The office staff are good, but there seems to be a disconnect between management procedures and staff. Maintenance is speedy, but they tore open a wall in our shower unnecessarily, replaced our good shower head with a cheap plastic one, and then broke our towel rack without coming back to replace it. This was all for a leak coming from the apartment above ours. I'm leaving this apartment cleaner than the condition I found it when I moved in.

Comes fully furnished and all of the appliances are in great condition. Laundry facilities are always clean and I never have to wait.The best part is how close it is to campus, less than a 10-15 min walk to all of my classes.

Amazing apartment complex! The rent is phenomenally inexpensive given how great the apartments all are! Everything is cozy and clean and there are no real issues I've had with anything. Maintenance is fast and efficient and the staffers at the office are amazingly helpful and personable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to live in Tallahassee! You'll love living here.
