I lived in Rome for 2.5 years and 1 year was spent at Springbrook. The apartments were recently remodeled, they are very nice. They all have central heat (gas) and air, forced air, when it comes on you need to adjust your level of sound on your tv.
The staff are nice, but I had just a few problems I would like to share with you all.
1) The maintenance group (kids mostly) have keys to all apartments and et me tell you they use them. I have not ever been at a complex where the group enters your apartment so much. I would come home from week long trips for business and find lights on, dirt tracked into the carpet, appliances unplugged etc... It was so annoying to think that each time they entered, I was never there. They would come ingot he place for needless crap a lll the time, always justified by management of course. I would not rent from this place again because of this, very uneasy feeling all of the time.
It wasn't until after being out for 3 months did I get a notice from a collection agency that my electric bill went unpaid for the last month I was there. I pay everything by automatic bill pay from my bank and i found I did in fact pay the bill on the due date so I called the bank. I was given the notice that I did in fact pay this bill and they wanted to challenge the electric company. Well something I never though of was to look at the accounts.
When I started my bill, I was given an account from National Grid but it was not for my apt, it was for the rental office, and they in-turn pay your bill. I am not even slightly joking. I am now going though the credit agency to correct my negative account on my credit report. Watch your utilities! I had no idea this was even legal, not sure it is to be honest but I fell to it.
They take care of the snow, mow the grass, and do not videotape any activity within the grounds. MANY problems with vehicles happened while I was there, bb holes through BMW's, smashed windows, etc and there are no cameras to prosecute.
