We lived at Prairie Tree Apartments for just shy of 3 years. We would recommend to anyone looking for a place to live to consider living here. Rent is extremely reasonable. Management is stellar. They truly became dear friends through our time of living there. So friendly and accommodating! Always prompt on any issues that we encountered, which was few. Accommodations are great. Finding a garage was something that was lacking in the Rapid City area, Prairie Tree had us covered. Very low price compared to other apartment complexes. Pet friendly, which wasnt what we were looking for originally. We did get a dog and then two, while living there. Very easy transition. Very fair prices for pet deposit and fees. Always felt safe, while living here. Buildings were always kept very clean! Excellent snow removal, which is important while living in a snowy climate. Lawn was always healthy and well taken care of as well. Parking was always available. Including for guests.

I've had a good share of good experiences and bad ones living here. Though management can be strict, the manager herself Is a very kind and easy person to communicate with. The pool is a very utilized feature for my household as well, it is very well kept and the neighbors practice common sense here. Inside the apartments is nice as well, though we've had our troubles with the default appliances, this may be specific to our unit. Unfortunately, the parking lots do not have security cameras and my vehicle or my partners vehicle have been broken into several times, weve also found ourselves without a parking spot several times due to the reserved spots not being strongly enforced. The units themselves are secure however, a padlock makes unwelcome knocks on the door very seldom. This is a VERY pet friendly place, the only place I've found to accept dogs upto 75lbs, and me and my companions are very grateful for the accomadations. If I can make a suggestion to the managers, maybe communicating via e-mails or text messages would be more efficient than notes on the door, I feel as if I've missed a few vital notes in my time here, though important general messages are posted on the entrance to the complexes themselves,. Making them hard to miss.

I lived at Prairie Tree Apartments for about 2 years. I moved from the other side of the state and the leasing agent was accommodating to my roommate and I in terms of responsiveness, and paperwork. Our experiencing living here has been great. The office staff was friendly and maintenance completed repairs in a timely manner, usually next day. It is pet friendly and the grounds are kept well. The apartment itself was modern. I highly recommend leasing with Praire Tree Apartments if you are searching for a nice place to live.
