The Gulch Neighborhood Summary

The Gulch gets its name from… well, the gulch that lies on the southwest edge of downtown. Formerly a rail yard, the neighborhood has undergone extensive revitalization in the past 20 years, and is now home to thousands of college students (it’s close to both Vanderbilt and Tennessee State) and young professionals (it’s walking distance to downtown).
