From a parents standpoint this was a great place for our UW student to live. Management keeps the apartments in great shape. They monitor tenants to make sure everyone is respectful of other tenants. Security is great. I have seen them usher out people who should not have access in common areas. Elana Ainsley the property manager does an excellent job of overseeing the bldg. We had some problems with a sublet and she was understanding in that many of her tenants are young adults who are just learning the mishaps that can happen. She amazingly assisted in helping resolve problem. It has been a great experience and would highly recommend the Lucky complex

I have lived at Lucky for a semester now, and my overall experience has been very positive. The location is perfect for short walks to the grocery store, class, and many other places. The Dorm at Lucky program has been great, especially due to Michaela and Kelsey's involvement in planning and hosting events on our floor. They are both invested in their residents and are willing to help whenever needed! I would highly recommend living at Lucky.

They could have organized an intentional, structured week of small group games, activities and team bonding events. They could have organized a sign up for simple cooking lessons for students. They could have taken the students to devils lake since they advertised it as the best part of the week (it wasnt on the final schedule...instead it was some other activity and most of the freshman skipped it). If they can incorporate these changes to their welcome week, I would give them 5 stars. Finding a close community as early as possible can be one of the most important factors in a college first year experience.

Lucky apartment is definitely a great place to live. Comparing to other newer apartments around here, the amenities might seems a little old, however, it's the service that are extraordinary and much better than others. E.g. 24 hour concierge desk is helpful whenever things happen.
Above that, staff in the leasing office are extra friendly. Carly and Alan are always there to help us with packages or other apartment related issues. Carly is also doing a great job remembering many of the residents' names. It couldn't be better since I don't need to tell them my apartment number and name every time I get my packages.
Lucky has the best location on Campus with beautiful apartment ! Moreover, the staff is great ! They are always helpful and available 24/7 !!!

Have been living with Lucky for the past year and have always been impressed with the level of quality of both the complex and staff members. The building is gorgeous to say the least. Being connected to a grocery store through a hallway and a Walgreens via the underground parking garage, one never needs to go out into the bitter Wisconsin winter to get living needs. Living two blocks away from State Street has allowed me to have the full Madison experience that everyone deserves. Plus, the bus stop directly across the street has almost every bus line come to it, so no need to walk a mile to get to your bus. Also, with living arrangements for incoming freshman and transfer students, everyone can get the fun and immersive dorm experience with your own kitchen and bathroom for usually cheaper than the costs of a dorm (I know, unbelievable but I have done the math). While maintanance requests are a common complaint with apartments, I personally have never waited more than 24 hours for a request to be fulfilled...with most being done the same day I called the front desk. I can't say enough about the place. Between the location, building quality, and staff members, you can't go wrong.
