I will never recommend anyone move here. The staff was half way decent. The apartment was very old and outdated for the price. They never made repairs for anything. First day we moved in our oven kept turning on and heat up! They told us it wasnt a big deal and maintenance would come fix it one day the following week! You could see light under the balcony door and the main door. You can tell where there was massive holes in the walls from previous tenants. We had a bearing and a rear mount break on the washer, maintenance guy decided he didnt want to fix it. The kitchen was pretty small and very little cabinet space. The lack of storage space in the apartment also was a big issue, ours had one little closet in the living room. The vents where all rusted up and needed to be replaced. Aside from the apartment itself our neighbors where all complete trash. They would leave trash outside of their door for days, leave trash trails all down the steps and in the doorways. Youd also have to bug maintenance to come clean it up. Ive found pills laying around on the ground and on the stairwell. One of the biggest issues was our apartment constantly(every night) smelled like weed from our neighbors smoking that cat piss of a plant. We lived by escorts and saw drug deals often. We heard gun shots about every two weeks or so. Our neighbor below us was pretty rude. Radio all hours of the day blairing and would sound like shes hammering the walls all day. Her name was Molly, I hope you read this. They also Say they spray for insects but Im not convinced, I work second shift and I was home asleep when they sprayed but I never smelled any pesticides or any evidence they was there. Sooo guess what we had... there was roaches from time to time there. They started getting more and more noticeable as the weather started to warm up. Now that were moved out and I see more and more reviews about bed bugs, Im glad we left before we saw any! Not any of the neighbors cared to use the compactor the right way and every Sunday it was a trash mountain in the parking lot. Felt like I lived at the city dump. Also on a side note my new apartment is so much nicer and the same price with free cable and internet! Our lge bill is also half the price because everything is new power efficient and well insulated! Id stay away... unless youre into that kinda stuff.

Let me start by saying Do NOT MOVE into this apartment complex. I lived at Park Lake Apartments from July 2016 to May 2017 and in July 2016 I knew I made a mistake, but I was in a rush to move from Northern KY that I did not do my research. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. The apartment provides dog bags for dog owners to pick up their dog poop, which appear to rarely get used as evidenced by dog poop scattered on the lawn and having to watch where I stepped in the grass to avoid stepping in dog feces, it was ridiculous. From just this I knew I would not be renewing my lease. However, at move out walk-through the property manager Nick lifted up the carpet and indicated carpet damage due to a dog, but also indicated white circles under the carpet being an indication of carpet damage from a Previous Tenant. My moveout statement indicated 2 rooms with pet damage but the manager noted due to the two rooms they would have to re-carpet the entire apartment (although some carpet damage was indicated from a previous tenant per Nick the manager). To add insult to injury one of the rooms the manager indicated had carpet damage was in a room our puppy was not allowed in (as the puppy was crate training and not allowed in any rooms except the living room). So to replace the entire apartments carpet I was charged $604.40 (my 250.00 deposit was of course taken). Honestly this situation was pretty ridiculous and if I had the time to sue I would have. My overall advise is PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM, but if you do I advise you to check under the carpet (which the manager did) and indicate on your move in checklist carpet damage if you see white circles, because of course dogs are allowed at this complex. Also if you have a pet you will pay a $250 pet fee which is non-refundable but does not go toward damages but goes toward the bags they provide (which as I indicated everyone does not use as evidenced by the feces on the grass, and oh yes the nonrefundable fee also goes toward the convenience of having your pet in the apartment. I would NOT recommend this apartment, and I see comments like, the staff is nice, yes they are nice, but not worth being cheated. Also, in my 13 years of renting this is the first time I didnt receive my deposit back, I think that alone speaks volumes about Park Lake Apartments, LLC.

I have lived in park lake for a few years now and have always been proud to call it home. I feel very happy to live in a good neighborhood. Knowing that management and staff genuinely care and want to help in any way they can makes me feel true my apprrciated, and LOVE calling them home . Nick Vancleave, and Natalie are always so friendly and welcoming whenever I need anything at all. I would highly suggest living here to anyone. Very satisfied with the experience.
