I rented at Laurens Way when I first moved to Knightdale. The apartments are small and very basic buoI dislike it at first. I only had a 6 month lease and during that time I had to take my son to the ER for respiratory issues. It was then that I found black mold in my apartment. I had pictures and video which I submitted to the leasing office which nothing was done about it. The upsetting thing about it was that I had heard that there was mold in these apartments before I moved in and asked the office staff and of course they denied it. Had I known there was mold in the apartments I would have never moved in.

I am currently a tenant and I am starting to feel like I made the worse decision of my life by moving here. First off my water bill is extremely high and I believe it is mostly due to the fact that my water heater keeps having leaking issues. This will be the third time since June of this year that I have had to report issues with water from my water heater leaking and getting the carpet all wet. In addition to that the laundry room and gym are really small, I was told that I could have my dish network because of all of their regulations yet they are charging $1000 dollars for rent. It's so not worth the money and I wish there was a way to get out of my lease so that I could move. Other than the area being fairly quiet there is no benefit to living here.

Walls are made of Sheetrock or paper. Very little hot water and lots of times there are black particles resembling ashes coming out of the faucet that stains the sinks and tubs and are hard to scrub off. When I first moved here I really liked the place. The grounds are well kept, the area is peaceful. About a month after moving into my apartment I started hearing my upstairs neighbor arguing and fighting. It started escalating to 3 AM every night just about I mean I could literally hear her boyfriend cursing her and her kids out. Some evenings I can hear the kids screaming trying to help their mom. Very volatile environment and its not like I was trying to listen. Believe me I did not want to end up being a witness to a fight going seriously wrong but their voices came into my kids room at night while they were sleeping for school. Its so bad I could hear him upstairs snoring as if he was n the next room from me. There are always Banging and lots of booms vibrating so much that my picture fell off the wall in my bedroom. We complained to the office MORE THAN ONCE...to no avail. I spoke with the wife who apologized for the noise... and yet their after hours brawls continued. Finally 7 months into this I started getting migraine headaches and found my blood pressure was raised and Ive never had high BP.. it was becoming so bad that I hated coming home. It was embarrassing when I had company over and they heard the language and the noise. I was so frustrated and didnt know what to do. Finally I went and talked to the culprit upstairs and explained to him that I hear him cursing quite clearly in my kids room at night and he looked at me like I was stupid and denied it being him. Mind you I could recite all of his personal issues regarding his wife and his kids that he had outside of the household with another woman. All because he screams and have these bipolar rants when the sun goes down until it comes up. Meanwhile I feel like Im in prison. I have resorted to blasting my tv at night to drown out the noises. My husband uses earplugs. Needless to say speaking with the culprit only made things worse for me. Thankfully I will be moving soon. Hopefully then my migraines will go away and my blood pressure will return to normal. Its very disappointing that nothing was done to resolve this issue.

Hello All! MUST READ BEFORE RENTING!
I have been renting with Lauren's Way Apartments for 2 years, and everything was going fine until a couple weeks ago. I had an issue with a deposit. As soon as I recognized it I contacted the apartment complex and explained the situation. I told them that my direct deposite will be in just 2 days past the written date on their letter. I offered to give them a print out from my employer to show the pending deposite, and also explained that I have NEVER PAID LATE in the 2 years I've lived here.The office manager said that it doesn't matter how long I've lived here, or if I'm a good resident. She was going to file court papers against me on that date no matter what I say. Then proceeded to tell me that in addition to the late fee, I will also be charged $250 because I have to pay their attorney to file court papers. What?! She made me feel like complete garbage, and offered no consolation about the news. I told her this was a terrible way to do business, and was in complete shock that they would do this to me. I fought as hard as I could to get through to her, and she hung up on me. I reached out to the corporate office, and explained the situation to her manager...At that moment I saw where the river of poor business skills was coming from. He was demeaning in his tone, and told me that the manager at Lauren's Way is not allowed to make decisions, and she would have been written up if she didn't file court papers on me...regardless if she felt that I was going to pay. WHO TREATS A LONG TERM, GOOD RESIDENT LIKE THIS? I don't know why, but I went ahead and paid them what they wanted, and they cashed on it immediately. I am disgusted with their service and want to cut my losses and get out of here. My lease is up in 30 days and who knows what kind of games they are going to play with me for posting this review. They do not value their residents, and treat us like cattle. The reason for this is they know there is always going to be another one right behind you...so why be concerned with showing respect, or good customer service to hard working residents? What a shame. If you still choose to rent from Lauren's Way Apartments just remember that they will chop your head off the second you have trouble, regardless as to how committed you are. I advise never cutting them any breaks for things they do not follow through with, they will never cut you one.

Lived here for a year. Overall okay place for families or elderly(primary clientele), poor for young single individuals. For me, the Cons out-way the Pros but make your own decision! I was not their ideal tenant. Come see the place instead of reading online reviews. Ask to see a vacant room, not the dulled up, pristine condition model.

Laurens way isna great community especially for safety. The maintenance guys are persistent and pretty nice. Krystal erin and taneisha always make me feel very comfortable when i come into the offic. I would recommend laurens way to anyone. They just updated their playground so the kids have a great place they can call their own. I have beem here for two years and it was a great choice
The apartments are bug and mold infested. The complex spends more money on the outer appearance than the inner. Tanisha is the nicest person in the office...

It's cheap and pretty quite. There are a good bit of cars that drive through with loud music that I can hear. The staff is pleasant and maintenance is always quick to respond. The apartments are old, but in decent shape.
