I LOVED my time at The Woods! I lived there for two years, and left because I got married and bought a house. Diane, Jill, and Carol in the office were always so friendly, kind and took care of anything I ever needed! Maintenance was top notch! If I had any issue they were there to fix the problem quick! I will always recommend The Woods Apartments to everyone I know. Thank you for taking such good care of me while I was there. You guys are the best!

Management and maintenance cause issues. Don't fix things, just temporarily make them better. No hot water faucett in bathroom, drains smell like rot. Roaches from neighbors, won't spray everyone at the same time, so the roaches come to my apt to die. Electric bill is outrageous. KCPL worker said my ac unit was very outdated and needed to be replaced (fuses blow in it). He said it is causing my bill to be very high. There is no insulation in the front of the apt so you have to keep the faucetts on and all the cabinets open all winter. You must have a 100k renters insurance policy (that doesn't include your items). They know the pipes bust and admitted to not having insulation in the kitchens in my type of models. The cigarette smoke is disgusting from neighbors, even though there is a no smoking policy. We share the water and sewage bill between units, so even though it's me and a 5 year old, I have to pay for the "single" lady upstairs to have 3 people doing laundry at her home weekly. There are a few meth addicts, and a drug dealer in the units close to mine, up all hours of the night, have 5 cars to one apartment. We do not have parking. There are too many car ports and no parking for anyone who doesn't want to pay the extra 40.00 a month. Favoritism is outrageous here. They let certain tenants do as they please while others get yelled at for everything. My rent went up considerably, while other tenants said theirs didn't or only went up 10.00. The pipes sound like they are going to explode every time you or anyone in the building uses the hot water.

I've lived here for 2 years. No issues. Management and maintenance are always receptive when you reach out. The pool, hot tub, work out facility and grill area is always clean and well maintained. The grounds are always beautiful. The location is perfect. 2 blocks from anything you want. Stores, banks, major roads and highways ect.... An all-around great place to reside.

Very outdated apartments. Cabinet doors dont hang straight, air is constantly leaking out of front door. Maintenance is quick to respond to requests but they are very rude and smoke right outside your door then throw the bud in the grass. During the summer, couldnt get my bedroom cooler than 82 degrees and that was at 11pm! AC was constantly running and electric bill was over $250. Maintenance told me my AC was working fine and management ignored two messages requesting someone look at it and consider and updated unit (mine was the oldest in my building). Rent price is great but the electric and gas bills make up for it. Always fighting for parking too. There are covered spaces you can pay extra a month to have but no one in my building pays for one so we all fight for the uncovered parking spaces every day. Dont live here.
