I lived in freedom place back in the day when I was a little girl with my parents & baby Brother. I was old enough to know what was going on. It was drugs being sold & done out there. Im about to be 31 this year so I dont have a clue how it is now. But back in the day it was terrible.
I wish that there was more I could do for the residents here. I manage the senior building and I have so many concerns...
I wish that there was more I could do for the residents here. I manage the senior building and I have so many concerns about the safety of others and myself. We do offer security, however, with the constant presence of the police, I get concerned about the environment there. The residents have many concerns as well in which management does not having the necessary training on how to address those concerns. There is sometimes a lot of commotion with residents involving guns and drugs and with my health conditions , it only adds to my stress levels. I do think management works hard and does everything to maintain a well functioning property, but upper management should realize the issues that exist and try to do more to help.
Just moved in January 2016. I have no problems. I love my place and the only noise i hear is the kids playing outside....

I just moved there August of 2015 and moved out January 2016. The unit itself is great but the area is horrible, the building I was in other people would leave the entrance door open. Bums walk around a lot down there. I didn't like that because I have a child and anybody could just walk right on in. Bit the reason why I was there for a short period of time because their were people shooting right inside my apartment building and my car had got shot up too. The leasing office didn't give me no options, I just broke my lease early because I'm certain about me and child safety. I moved out 4 days after the shooting.

Not inhabitale i feel like i live like a homeless person under the freeway!!groups of men constantly handing out in the parking lot afraid to go out at night. To name a few. My paradise is now a Nightmere!!!

GREAT PLACE.

My mother has lived in Freedom Place for 21 years. The management has changed for the worst over the years. The security guards sell drugs within the buildings, with the approval of the manager, a guy that claims to be from Chicago last name Bibbs. I would not recommend this place.
