My husband and I have lived here for about 1.5 years and have loved it. We always say "How did we get so lucky??" Over the summer our AC broke, so we called Maintenance and they came and fixed it for free within an hour. Quiet, friendly neighbors. Clean and well maintained, I've never seen a bug inside our place. They offered to clean our carpet for free when we renewed our lease. My husband and I always joke that we wish we could live here forever and just add on additional bedrooms as we need more space - LOL. I mean occasionally you do hear thumping music as a car drives by or sirens late at night, but come on it's Dallas. Close to Loop 12 and 75, but cannot hear traffic. I feel safe, and there has only been one break-in (through an unlocked back door) in the 1.5 years we have lived here, and that's so good considering they're apartments in a sketchy-ish part of Dallas! And it doesn't feel sketchy bc The Village keeps the landscaping and amenities nice. Great location, everything seems like it's ten minutes away. I work up in Plano and the commute is 20 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon, even with rush hour traffic. Overall I love it, 10/10 would highly recommend.

As one of the complexes in the Village you are granted benefits of being part of a large apartment community. as such, you gain access to well kept fields and green space as well as a fairly good quality gym and other amenities. The area feels very safe despite being just south of a rather shady part of town. This is probably due to the private security detail the Village provides. I imagine I am probably paying too much for this place considering all the Village evens I don't use. however I have been ultimately happy with my experience.

Horrible !!! Recently I received a notice that they would be conducting their "annual inspection" and installing a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink....

Horrible !!! Recently I received a notice that they would be conducting their "annual inspection" and installing a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink. Because I have a dog and would not be home at the time this was scheduled (by them), I asked that it be done on the following day when the dog would be away. After waiting in the office and being ignored by the staff. A blond headed lady decided to do her job and come out into the main office area where I and others were. I guess she thinks they pay her to hind the back office and not work. I made my request and was given the poorest excuse.... The manager does not want to reschedule them. Really? I thought taking care of your residents was important so they would not move? You know most apartment complexes in Dallas are MUCH nicer than this one. So you might want to try and help out your current residents. If you are looking for an apartment I highly recommend that you avoid The Village. The only thing they care about is getting your money and NOT providing any service or assisting you with reasonable request.
